*SO WHY MICROCHIP YOUR PET: Having your pet micro-chipped provides a permanent means of identification. For one small single payment your pet can be micro-chipped and your details logged into The National Database for your pets life!. With hundreds of pets getting lost or even stolen each year, Micro-chipping your pet will increase your chances of being reunited should the unthinkable happen.
*WHAT IS A MICROCHIP: A microchip is a small capsule made out of smooth hardened glass that is approximately the size of a grain of rice, This holds the identification code that provides details of ownership of your pet.
*HOW IT ALL WORKS: Your pets body is scanned by a hand held scanner, These scanners are used by various organisations i.e. Veterinary Surgeries, Dog Wardens, RSPCA...etc. Once scanned the scanner will detect if a Microchip is present and display an identification code. This code is registered with Petlog, The National Database which is all run by the Kennel Club. Petlog are contacted and given this code. Petlog will search there database and retrieve your pets details so that you will be reunited back with your pet.
*WHERE IS THE MICROCHIP INSERTED: The Microchip is inserted under the skin by injection thought a specail needle, its done with in seconds and usually causes as little disconfort as a vaccintion. Once inserted your Pet is Protected for life!
