I really hate to do this but it's come to it that I have no other choice..
Today I have lost out on approximately Β£140 in income due to no shows and last minute cancellations. So, now is probably the best time to introduce some Hawkins Hounds terms and conditions to help support and protect my little business at one of the hardest times, financially.
I know life gets in the way, as a lot of my customers would have had to endure me having to rearrange due to health or child related issues at some point or another. This is why I have held off so long to introduce a last minute cancellation/no show fee. But, I need to start putting the needs of my business and my family first and foremost and start doing things the right way. Especially with how life is at the moment. I cannot afford to be losing money. π
I do want to add though, I appreciate you all so much and want to thank you for your continued support and patience with what has been the hardest, most challenging few years of my life. Trying to juggle starting a business and my little family along with whatever life has had to throw at us all in the meantime π€¦ββοΈπ΅βπ« It's been a roller coaster for sure. Thanks for sticking with me!! You are amazing and I'm so grateful β€οΈβ€οΈ
Terms & conditions as follows
MISSED APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
If you miss an appointment, the full cost of the groom will be required. This will have to be paid before booking your next appointment. If this payment is not received, no further bookings can be made.
Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations.
LATE ARRIVAL FEES
If you are more than 15 minutes late arriving for your dogs appointment i may not have time to complete the groom and will it have a knock on effect with the dogs I have afterwards.
If you are more than 15 minutes late picking your dog up and have not let me know you are going to be late , there will be a late pick up fee of Β£5 for every 15 mins from the first 15 mins.
This also applies for early drop offs. Please do not arrive too early as again this will disturb the dog I will be grooming at the time and will have to leave a dog unattended to collect your dog, which raises health and safety issues. 5 mins early is fine as I allow for this anyway. Anymore than this I will have to ask you to wait until I'm finished.
FLEAS
I do not accept dogs with fleas. Please let me know if your dog has fleas at least 24 hours before your appointment so that I can rearrange your dogs appointment once it has been treated. A dog with fleas can contaminate the salon and therefore pass fleas onto other dogs. If a dog comes to me with fleas I will either deflea using flea shampoo at an extra cost to you, depending on dog size, or ask you to come and collect your dog if they have more than just a couple.
AGGRESIVE BEHAVIOUR
Please notify me prior to your dogs appointment if they have ever become aggressive when being groomed elsewhere. I offer a one to one service to reduce the stress and anxiety of the dog and will allow extra time for a nervous or aggressive dog. If I feel like the dog isn't going to cooperate after a settling in period with myself I will have to ask you to collect your dog and seek vetinary advice.
MATTING
If your dog is matted to the point that it becomes too uncomfortable or painful for the dog I will contact you to discuss options. I will never clip/shave a dog right down without your prior consent.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS/ISSUES
Please let me know if your dog has any medical issues prior to their groom.
