IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT;

Unfortunately due to my on going health issues I have made the very difficult decision to close The Pony Place and no longer be taking any bookings.

I have absolutely loved meeting so many wonderful children over the years. It has been such a pleasure introducing them all to our amazing ponies. I hope this has sparked a love of horses that will last a lifetime.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us!

Throw back.

We traveled over to Plymouth for these girls wonderful birthday party! Fun was had by all and we were all made to feel very welcome. The party was a great success. I think Magic would have happily stayed there 😂❤️.

What a busy weekend! Poppy our Unicorn along with her best friend Magic had a weekend of making 3 birthday girls very happy. First was at The Pony Place for someone special celebrating her 7th Birthday! Then we were on the road over to Plymouth for a joint birthday party for some wonderful girls who are turning 2 & 5! 🦄.

What’s happened to the glorious weather? hopefully the sun will be shining again soon. Georgie, May, Harri, Rocky, Poppy and Magic all enjoying a day in their stable, munching on some hay keeping out of the rain!

Just a little heads up this is behind the scenes before Poppy & Magic did a pony party for a very excited little girl this past weekend.

In this video I am sat on a chair as you know Magic is very small at only 32 inches tall so a chair comes in handy to reach her little legs! Magic is stood not tied up or being held. Poppy is happily eating hay! Both oblivious to the hairdryer. We take a lot of time building trust with our ponies and as you can see from this, they aren’t too bothered 😂. Rosie x

As soon as I turn my back to close the gate she’s rolling in the mud! As you can see May chose the more sensible option after being turned out for all of 30 seconds to keep her head down eating the grass! 🐴❤️

P A Y M E N T S;

Sadly as a small business I like many other businesses feel I need to address this matter…

The amount of time and hard work that goes into running a small business is immense. Factor in with The Pony Place Karen not only has the business side to work she also has all the ponies & horses to look after. There’s a lot of time and money spent on running The Pony Place and the reviews speak for themselves with regard to how Karen is with the children and animals.

Times are extremely hard for everyone however we need to stick to how our payments gets made. Please if your booking an experience make sure you pay the deposit. In our terms and conditions we do have a policy with regard to your deposit. For example if the session needs changing due to weather. If you cancel within a certain time period this includes changing the date. If you cancel with less than 48 hours the deposit is none refundable.

We will have to introduce that if you’re paying the final balance by BACS that this will need to be done 24 hours before your booked session.

Lastly thank you to all of you for your custom, feedback and support! Big plans are being made for 2024!

Rosie here! (Karen will kill me!) Sorry photo too funny not to share! Poor Karen literally got blown over in the wind right in the mud 😂. Thankfully May checked on her while I stood laughing!

This year we will make a real effort to post more on here to keep you guys updated on all that’s going on! We will be taking Poppy & Magic out on more adventures this year. If you run a care home or planning an event and would like us to join then please get in touch.

Magic had a fun evening! We were invited to a local care home’s Christmas party which was lovely meeting all the residents, thank you for having us! Would be rude not to pop in and see our friends..who happen to own a pub 😂 rude not too!

What can we say about today…

With a quick stop off at Trewartha’s Poppy the unicorn & her friend Magic carried on up to the honey fair to spend the day getting brushed and cuddled by the young and old! Magic fancied a walk round, lots of people stopping to fuss and take photos!

Sshh! Georgie & May have something to tell you that the other ponies don’t know yet!

Anyone that has attended a ’Pony Experience’ this year can NOW book up to 6 more 1 to 1 sessions. These are for 1hr and cost £30 per session.

This is for those children who after having a pony experience and are keen to carry on riding. With these extra sessions they can establish the basics of riding ready to move on to a riding school.

*These will not include rosette & gift.

Please note this is for Children 7 years plus and adults. Mornings only 9.30 - 12.30 (3hr session) and for 2 children/siblings or why not have a parent and child session?

This is a full morning of learning about all aspects of what it’s like to own your Pony including riding.

PONY EXPERIENCES
A fun and rewarding way to introduce your child to the wonderful world of ponies. Ideal as a birthday present or special treat.

If after your child has had their first pony experience and they would like to continue learning about ponies and riding we are now able to book them in at the Pony Place on a regular basis until they are proficient in controlling their pony in walk and trot and are able to rise to the trot, the ( amount of sessions depends on age, how often they ride etc.) Your child will then be ready to progress to one of the local riding schools where they will be able to join in with a group lesson and have the opportunity to ride independently of the lead rein.

We offer a unique hands on introduction to riding and pony care suitable as a first time experience for children.

"Pony Experience's" include...

Meeting the ponies.
Learning how to handle and keep safe around the ponies.
Learn the basics of grooming and pony care.
Learn how to saddle up a pony ready to ride.
Learn the basics of riding, how to halt and turn, walk and trot.
All riding is on the lead rein in a safe enclosed area.

We can also offer "Pony Parties" for up to 6 children. Please message or call for more information.
