IT'S HAPPENING!
If anyone needs fencing, mowing, gardening etc, ask me for Dave's number. He is a lovely bloke.
I nearly put "If anyone needs topping, ask for Dave." but that just sounds wrong. 😆
Secure 4 acre paddock to safely run your dog. £5 for 55mins. Phone Mel on 07816 479358

Hurray! You can now park off the road, by the gate.
It is best to reverse in, so that you don't have to reverse out 😄.
Please do not reverse onto the road.
You can, however, reverse onto the layby.
Proper Spring at last! Rafferty's Field is a gorgeous shade of green, the leaves are out on the big beech trees and the dogs are having a riot. We are quite busy, but there are a few spaces left in the afternoons and evenings up to 8pm.
The view is amazing and there is tons of room to wander (or zoom) about in 4 acres.
The wonderful Ivy playing Queen of the Castle on the new haybale stack.
Move over and let Oscar have a go!

I wondered why my bamboo canes were always on the floor in the morning. What creature would do this?......
At last ! I have messaged or texted everyone on Rafferty's waiting list.
If you think you have been missed, please send me a message.
Thank you
I thought you might like to see this. The young buck is so close to the camera that you can see the velvet on his antlers.
"When you see deer with fuzzy antlers, you are seeing a deer in velvet. That velvet provides nutrition and growth to deer antlers. This special tissue is a type of skin, loaded with blood vessels and nerves, that regenerates every year. Because deer shed their antlers annually, they need dense and rapid growth of their antlers to occur every year. Antlers are important in distinguishing the strongest and most viable bucks, who will end up mating and passing on their genes."
Well who knew....
It is definitely Spring in Rafferty's Field. Caught on camera, a very pregnant deer and her mate, our local fox and a nervous rabbit! This was all within 12hrs.
Rafferty's Field is closed today and tomorrow (Saturday). One of the ivy covered Hawthorns is down on the fence.
I can't clear it until the wind abates. OK. ALL CLEAR!
Where would we be without them?
Yasmin
(HAS BEEN FOUND!!!))) FOUND FOUND FOUND!! 💖💖
please keep your eyes open, WEARING A SILVER SPARKLY COLLAR. missing from Callington fore street area!! Not like her at all! Missing since yesterday. Nervous when approached.. wouldn’t normally travel far on her own so if anyone has seen or heard of anything would appreciate it so much!! Heart is breaking so literally anything, thank you
It was fascinating to see all the different tracks in the snow this morning, mostly birds and rabbits, but I think this is a mouse track. There are tiny pawprints, then a tiny tunnel wriggling under the snow, with a couple of places where it has come up to the surface.
Yaay! Snow!

❄KEEPING YOUR PETS SAFE & WARM DURING THE COLD SNAP ❄
Brr!! It’s cold out there! Please bring your animals indoors over the cold snap. The 'Beast from the East', has already claimed one dog's life, The dog was left outside all night, although he had a kennel he did not have adequate bedding to keep him warm. Don't let your pet become it's next victim...
If you see an animal in distress please do something, if possible get the animal indoors, get in touch with your local veterinary clinic, SPCA or rescue, please don't leave them to suffer needlessly.
We highly recommend following Irish weather online for updates. Best of luck everybody and stay safe!

You know those signs on Fairground rides that say "You have to be this big to ride" ? Unfortunately, you have to be bigger than a Jack Russell to be safe in Rafferty's Field. The fence is stock fencing so the gaps are about catflap sized. Sorry little 'uns.
Rafferty's Field is now open again for unfettered frolicking!
It's lambing season and many of you may be worried about letting your dog off lead. Inside our 7ft fence they can run in safety.
There is a new field shelter for the odd hail shower and the daffodils are tentatively pushing through.
Call me on 01579 383159 to book your exclusive 1hr time slot for £5.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for diligently picking up after their dogs. I know it's not always easy in the long grass, but everyone has been brilliant.
Rafferty's field is getting over run with thistles. They got a good hold when the field wasn't being mowed often enough. Does anyone know a good way to get rid of them, that doesn't involve spraying toxic stuff about? I have started digging them out one at a time but it may take me all year.
It's officially Autumn! The big Beech trees are starting to turn gold. I'm hoping for a good display if the wind doesn't blow all the leaves off first!
Ivy may be a nuisance, but it is a valuable habitat. This morning, the ivy flowers were covered in Red Admiral butterflies! I've never seen so many in one place.
Rafferty's field has a 7 and a half foot deer fence and is available for exercising your dogs. £5 for up to an hour. Phone Mel on 01579 383159 to book.
I've been planting some trees in the field. Rafferty is helping...
Bryn, on the other hand, seems to think it's for hiding her toys in.
Squirrel ! I saw it !
Rare sighting of mythical beast in Rafferty's field....
