We often hear about puppy socialising, and how puppies need to meet everyone and everything. We’ve all heard about the huge socialisation check list, where they have to meet every kind of dog, person, cow, horse, sheep. What about people wearing masks, backpacks, wizard hats or different animals like camels? 😅 Along the way what if they have a bad experience? A bad experience is worth 100 good ones, which means you need to find even more good ones and then on the way to giving them more good experiences they have another bad one 😱

Preparing puppies for the world by teaching them that novelty is nothing to be worried about or that other dogs aren’t their business through games is a great way of setting them up for success without putting them in situations where they may get a bad experience 🙌
Scatter feeding in new environments or while other things are going on is a great way of setting your puppy up for success, promoting calmness and disengagement from the environment which are huge wins! 😎
