Here at The Pet’s Butler, we get a lot of dogs who started life abroad and have been brought over for a better life. Most of these dogs are found on the street, never having known a loving home and certainly none of them have ever been pampered at a groomers before coming to the UK. We pride ourselves in our ability to understand body language so we can introduce this experience to them so they can learn that it is enjoyable. We love seeing all the different shapes and sizes so let’s see all your rescue pups!

Today another star was added to the sky. Ziggy has been a supporter of The Pet’s Butler since we opened nearly 18 months ago. Ziggy came once a month for his medicated bath treatment and of course to be spoilt rotten. He was such a character and he made it clear that while he may be old and arthritic his character was still firmly in tact. Here at The Pet’s Butler, our aim is to be able to cater to all animals that need grooming needs and careful consideration was made when purchasing our hydraulic equipment allowing dogs the autonomy to get in and out of the bath and on and off the table themselves and Ziggy especially liked having that choice. He was recently diagnosed with a tumour in his nose and as day to day life started to get harder, Ziggys mum had to make that decision we all dread. Ziggy will be missed dearly by us here at The Pet’s Butler and his own fan club that he has acquired along the way. Sleep tight , you have touched more hearts than you will ever know

Have you ever considered how important nail care is? Just like us, dogs nails grow all the time with some growing theirs faster than others. It can be an insight into your dogs physical and mental well-being. Just like humans, anxious or bored dogs will chew their nails sometimes to the point they bleed. Sometimes dogs with joint pain will wear their nails down unevenly so one foot may have perfect nails and another foot may have super long nails. Did you know that long nails can also be a contributing factor to conditions such as early onset arthritis? When the nail is excessively long, it alters the placement of the foot which you can see in these before and after pictures which puts unnatural strain on the ligaments and tendons in the feet. Here at The Pets Butler, every dog who comes for a groom has their nails checked and clipped if necessary and we also offer appointments dedicated to nail trims

Lovely Bella paid us a visit last week. Bella has her coat hand stripped which removes all the loose topcoat and leaves her with a very sleek and natural looking coat.

Buddy has been having lots of fun getting into all sorts of trouble and his coat has paid the price. Today he came in for his glow up. Doesn’t he look such a smart boy now

Lovely boy Winston was in for his first big boy haircut today. Winston has taken advantage of our puppy introduction package slowly introducing the grooming process to him over a number of weeks ensuring he is happy and confident with every step. He was such a good boy today and we can’t wait to see him again soon

🎉🎉Exciting news 🎉🎉

We are super excited to welcome Charlotte to The Pet’s Butler. Charlotte has been grooming for over a year and has experience with lots of different breeds. Her knowledge extends to her understanding of behaviour and body language from her 17 years working in rescue centres helping a wide range of animals find their forever home. In her spare time she enjoys baking and wildlife watching. We know Charlotte is going to be a great addition to the team helping all your furry friends enjoy their pamper session with us.
