Anyone who owns or grooms a show line Cocker Spaniel knows that gorgeous long skirt will bring half the garden back inside with them if it’s not properly maintained! Regular deshedding and precise trimming are the only things standing between that beautiful coat and a matting experience 🤭☺️

Bunnies have incredibly delicate, paper-thin skin and get stressed very easily. That’s why we often groom them in secure, quiet spaces where they feel safe and can’t leap off high tables! We tend to use a separate room away from the other animals that are being groomed.

Regular de-shedding keeps them happy, healthy, and safe from blockages. 🤍

Giving Zach the full spa treatment today! 🐾

We started with a thorough hand stripping session - it’s the best way to maintain that classic Wire Fox Terrier texture. Since their coats don’t shed like other dogs, pulling the dead outer hair by hand allows a fresh, wiry coat to grow back in, keeping his colors vibrant and his skin healthy.

Once the hard work was done, we followed up with a tidy-up groom to get him looking sharp, sleek, and ready for his close-up!

Why we hand strip:

Preserves Texture: Keeps the coat crisp and weather-resistant.

Colour Maintance: Prevents the “faded” look that often happens with clipping.

Skin Health: Clears out old follicles to prevent irritation.
