It was bath time for Oreo recently. He doesn't have a blow dry as he hates the dryer, so he gets wrapped in towels and then combed through. Luckily it was a hot day, so he was well on the way to being dry. All sparkly clean now 😍

Gimli had his de-shed groom and hygiene trim, plus a tummy trim recently. A somewhat lively session, despite the calming medication from his vet! No major knots to deal with, but the tummy trim was challenging due to the lively mood he was in, but all sorted in the end 😍

No decent photos though, he just wasn't keeping still for anything, so here's one I made earlier 🤭 at a much calmer session 😍

Bubble and Squeak were here recently for their de-shed grooms and hygiene trims. Squeak was up first, so Bubble just made himself at home on the chair to wait patiently for his turn 😍

I was so sad to hear the news that Tallulah's mum has had to say goodbye to her recently 😢 She was 15 and I'd been grooming her for about 9 years and also cat sat for her a few times. I remember, on one of my cat sitting visits, how she, and one of her cat companions, Dave, came and sat in front of me like a deputation sent to find out why I was faffing about taking photos when I should be feeding them! 😊

Tallulah was such a sweetie on the grooming table, and used to enjoy her pamper sessions, although I think she thought the best part was the Dreamies treats afterwards! 😉 I'm really going to miss seeing her 😢

Sending much love to her mum who I know is missing her terribly - a little puss cat but with such big presence 💔🌈

Mia was nice and chilled for her de-shed and hygiene trim this week. Her coat is quite thick at the moment so there were a few knots to sort out underneath this time. Here's to many more calm sessions!🤞😻

Tinks was here for her usual de-shed groom and hygiene trim, plus a claw clip this week. She also had a shorter all over clip for easier home maintenance. She likes to look out the window watching the world go by while I get on with her groom session😍

Sad news that Molly's family have had to say goodbye to her, age 19, due to kidney failure 😢 I've been her groomer for 14 years and I'm told that she liked to strut around showing off her hairdo to her family when she got home from her pamper sessions 😻 I shall miss her.

Molly was a stray who turned up on the doorstep one cold, wet night and despite extensive efforts, no owner was ever found, so she landed on her feet in a lovely new home. She even had her own fan page and also featured in one of my grooming articles for Your Cat magazine, her 15 minutes of fame!

Thinking of her family who are so sad at her passing, and missing her presence very much, but have lots of lovely memories of her 💔

Darcy had rather a large mat underneath that needed clipping off. He was a bit of a fidgety boy to start with, so I started clipping what I could get to, until he eventually settled and rolled on his side quite happily so I could easily reach the last bit Well done Darcy! 😻

Our Story

My feline exclusive cat grooming service was set up 18 years ago after owning Persian cats myself and realising how much work their coats needed! I’d also been involved in Persian rescue and found that many Persians (and other longhaired breeds) were being given up due to their high maintenance coats. I struggled to find cat grooming training all those years ago, but gained plenty of hands on experience with my own cats and also rescues (of varying temperaments!) I’ve owned cats for 40+ years, encountering many different and interesting feline characters along the way, and learned a lot about cat behaviour which has helped enourmously when grooming cats. I’ve since gone on to gain my Certificate of Competence in Cat Grooming, which is currently the only industry recognised cat grooming qualification in the UK.

My business was named after my very first Persian, Joe who lived to the grand old age of 19! Many more Persians joined the family through the years and my current 2 are Ebony, black aged 7 and Pockets blue-cream aged 12 (I adopted her in 2017) I specialise in Persian grooming, but am experienced in grooming all longhair/semi longhair cats, including Norwegian Forest Cats, Maine C***s, Birmans and Ragdolls. I also love drawing and painting (all animals, but especially cats of course!) and undertake pet portrait commissions.
