Our Story

My feline exclusive cat grooming service was set up 18 years ago after owning Persian cats myself and realising how much work their coats needed! I’d also been involved in Persian rescue and found that many Persians (and other longhaired breeds) were being given up due to their high maintenance coats. I struggled to find cat grooming training all those years ago, but gained plenty of hands on experience with my own cats and also rescues (of varying temperaments!) I’ve owned cats for 40+ years, encountering many different and interesting feline characters along the way, and learned a lot about cat behaviour which has helped enourmously when grooming cats. I’ve since gone on to gain my Certificate of Competence in Cat Grooming, which is currently the only industry recognised cat grooming qualification in the UK.

My business was named after my very first Persian, Joe who lived to the grand old age of 19! Many more Persians joined the family through the years and my current 2 are Ebony, black aged 7 and Pockets blue-cream aged 12 (I adopted her in 2017) I specialise in Persian grooming, but am experienced in grooming all longhair/semi longhair cats, including Norwegian Forest Cats, Maine C***s, Birmans and Ragdolls. I also love drawing and painting (all animals, but especially cats of course!) and undertake pet portrait commissions.
