Cosy Paws is a Wiltshire based pet sitting service that strives to offer you a service not offered by most other pet sitters…pet sitting with extra peace of mind. My style of pet sitting is a home from home approach and you have peace of mind that I myself am looking after your pet. So for the time your pet is with me, I treat them like my own and they become part of my family for this time too. T
his means that the dogs in my care are looked after in my own home and are allowed on the sofa/bed for snuggles. I know every pet is an individual, so I treat them as such and along with my Vet Nurse experience can make sure even the more medically complicated pets are catered for. About Cosy Paws
My name is Genevieve Helm and I am a fully qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse. I moved to Wiltshire in 2019 from South West London, where I ran Cosy Paws full time very successfully for 6 years. I even still have some London clients that bring their dogs to me when they go on holiday, which is probably one of the biggest compliments! Previous to starting up Cosy Paws I was working at my local vets for 7 years. I worked my way up from being a receptionist to Deputy Head nurse in this time. I also have a particular interest in animal behaviour, so I spent 3 years completing a self-funded Nursing Certificate in Animal Behaviour. I have had many pets over the years; guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, hamsters, cats and dogs. I grew up as a baby with two Dobermanns then as they got older, we took on two Dachshunds (sausage dogs), who of course ruled over the Dobermanns! This is also why I am quite often known as the sausage dog lady and had many sausage dog clients, as I know the breed very well! I now live with my husband (Harry) and daughter (Freya) and fur babies, two lazy rescue Breton spaniels - Twiggy & Leo. I like to think my qualification as a Veterinary Nurse gives you extra peace of mind if anything were to unfortunately happen while you were away, as can rarely happen. At least you know that I am capable of doing everything possible to help your pet at this worrying time. However, I do not believe in charging more because of my qualification, I think any pet sitter should be capable of dealing with the good and bad that comes with looking after someone’s much loved pet.
