Welcome to these five gorgeous puppies and their owners who have joined the Woodland Family! Last night was their week two on the Puppy Training and Socialisation course but I didn’t manage to get photos on week one as we were far too busy! Already they have all perfected sit, sit /stay, down/settle, eye contact and being able to exercise a little self-control around a food bowl!

Oh Lord, how adorable is Nellie 🥰. On Monday I had the pleasure of visiting her at home to do a Making Friends one-to-one session. I helped her owners with lots of questions about the early days of settling a puppy in to a new home. We spoke about toilet training, crate training, nighttime sleeping, feeding and some early training exercises. The second photo shows that perfecting your sits is very tiring! 🥱 I look forward to Nellie and her family joining one of my Puppy Training classes in March.

Alice Holt classes are cancelled today! Stay safe everyone and make sure you check fences regularly before letting dogs loose in garden. When walking you may want to consider keeping on lead today… strong gusts of wind can spook dogs and cause them to run or not hear your whistle/recall cue.

Following the success of our first Sensitive Souls owners social on Saturday we have scheduled another date!I know some of you couldn't make the last one so wanting to give you an opportunity to attend. Anyone that attended the last one is more than welcome to come along to this new date. The structure of the session will be roughly the same as the last one and will enable you to make new connections, learn from others experience's and catch up with those that you met at Saturdays session.

The date is Saturday 15th March from 2-4pm... we may run over slightly again! Please note this social is just for humans, no dogs!

After a busy morning today I am now able to take some time to reflect on the Sensitive Souls Event we hosted yesterday afternoon. The support in the room was just immense. No judgements, just warmth and a feeling that we had all made the first step in building a really powerful community. We have received a dozen messages of thanks and reading these has been highly emotional 🥹. Reading how much the event meant to you and how people went home feeling supported , reassured and more able to face the challenges they experience with their dog has just meant so much to us.

I owe a huge thank you as always to Richard and the girls. They support me in all of my projects and ideas… I couldn’t do it without them all. Lots of you mentioned in your messages about how welcoming and attentive the girls were. That makes me so very proud. Let’s face it Richard does deserve a medal… you all know my brain is always going ten to the dozen and coming up with new ideas. Richard often has to be the one to help me figure out how we execute these plans and restrain my run away brain 🤣

I am away now to plan next steps and future courses - watch this space!!
