Carole has achieved so much in her career over the years - she is definitely an idol for us all 🩷 Thank you for making the practice run smoothly as well as supplying some laughs along the way! 🥳👏

👀Did you know that yesterday was Black Cat appreciation day?!🐈‍⬛

🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛Fun fact: Historically, sailors and fishermen believed that having a black cat onboard would bring the ship good luck and guarantee a safe journey (with the added benefit of fewer rats).🎣

🐈‍⬛Fishermen's wives would also keep black cats at home believing that they would ensure their husbands returned home safely from sea🩷

🐱 Meet Sam! This lovely fella has been seeing our nurse Khyanne regularly for frequent weight clinics, he has since lost a whopping 1kg!! 🏆🏆

Thanks to his new diet, he is now at the perfect body condition score, and has maintained this weight throughout the past couple of months 🩷

Being overweight puts our pets at risk of developing a number of health concerns. Studies reveal that excess weight is linked with a reduced life span in dogs and cats.😔

☀️ As the weather is beginning to brighten up again, here is an important reminder; heat stress starts as a reversible condition, but if not managed it will develop to heat stroke, which is extremely dangerous. ⚠️

If your pet shows any of these signs, they should be moved to a cool area and offered plenty of water to drink. 🐶🐱

NEWS: Elvis has left the building

Our Explosives Detection Dog PD Elvis has ‘left the building’ to demonstrate ‘he’s more than just a hound dog’; starting his journey to Paris to support the 2024 Olympics!

PD Elvis, a four-year-old Cocker Spaniel, is trained in detecting explosive devices and equipment.

Today (22 July) he has left South Yorkshire with his handler, a duo who have worked together for three years and will support the operation in Paris until Friday 2 August.

The Olympics will see people from across the world come together to watch the best athletes compete.

PD Elvis will carry out patrols prior to the events starting and during to ensure no concealed items, or those intent on causing harm will enter the event.

His nose, skills and commitment are incredible. We hope he and his handler have a great time while in Paris.

🌸🐀 Meet Marie, this lovely little lady came into visit us to have a lump removed. Together our Veterinary Surgeon, Emily and Student Veterinary Nurse, Khyanne worked together to provide a catered anaesthetic, monitoring and nursing plan for her.

She returned for her 3 day post operative check last week to see our student nurse Khyanne - we are very pleased with her progress, she’s looking fantastic!🩷
