Thankyou to everyone who took part, next time it could be you!🤩
If you’d like your dogs (all dogs must be okay with other dogs) to join us on this pack walk and/or our future ones leave a comment or pop us a message. They are £15 for 2 hours out of the house socialising and sniffing around. We are offering these walks on Mondays and Fridays 11am-1pm at the moment but will hopefully be adding more days soon! Even if a walk isn’t needed it’s always nice to treat your dogs! 🐾💙
Visits with Kosies always include enrichment toys🧩🐾
The importance of having control over your dogs;
- it is important that even when you’re out and about you still have your dogs full attention. Incase of any type of emergencies.
- having them learn wait is an excellent way to prevent any issues with other people, other dogs and roads etc.
- even in situations when your dog is friendly if you ever come across a dog that isn’t so dog friendly when you are able to recall you’re dog and put them back on lead it creates a safer environment for both parties involved
Of course these things won’t happen in a day and make take some time for your dogs to learn. But it will help you in your everyday life even in your own home. 🐕🦺❤️🐾
This is just a handful of enrichment activities you can do with your dog and what we do on our house visits. These activities can be incredibly helpful as it becomes hotter because if it’s too hot to take them out for a walk you can work their mind instead.
1. Practicing basic training - Commands like sit, lay, wait, leave it, paw etc. Using them again as an activity engages their mind and encourages them to use memory. Any form of praise is good, ensure not to use too many treats in one go.🐶
2. Search/Find it - these sorts of activities are really good for them to focus and use their sense of smell. Of course they will love it as it ends with tasty treats! A strong scented treat works really well for this.🦮
3. A Kong - They can be stuffed with treats or peanut butter (for dogs) any thing that your dog enjoys. This keeps them occupied for a while. Perfect if you need them out from under your feet all the time!🐾
4. Which hand? - They use their scent to see which hand the treat is in! Just take a treat and hold it behind your back then hold both hands out and which ever their nose goes to first they’ve chosen.🤜🏻🫴🏻
Congratulations Lisa Jane Stacey !! On winning our pet hamper🥳🐾
Thankyou to everyone who took part, we will have different raffles/competitions throughout the year so be sure to look out for them!🤎
He’s progressing so well for his ‘close’ training on walks. Well done to this clever boy! 🦮🐾🤩
Always happy on our walks!☺️❤️
Time to cool off after this lovely sunny day ☀️
REMEMBER
Please let your hose run a little first as they get heated in the sun and cause the water to be very hot.🔥
