Dressage practice with Clayton and Ava
Paxton and Jasper! Jasper is another fairly green one and his favourite activity is to approach every fence at speed, weāve been using a little grid today to back him off and help him to focus on his footwork as well as getting them to work as a team! Very well doneš¤©
My girl Heidi popping round a little training course today, such a good horsey š„°
Ava and Clayton! Over the past month Ava has been learning to jump, before beginning her journey with Clayton she had only been doing raised poles and one or two fences therefore has achieved all of this in only 5 sessions and they are now jumping courses together! We are working on Avaās position as well as her getting Clayton more forward around the corners. Very well done š
Esmaii working hard with her pony Thunder, he is freshly broken and very new to the school! Being an inexperienced boy he does get quite nappy and so esmaii has been working on staying confident and giving him clear and firm instructions as well as lots of positive reinforcement to show him the right way! Very well doneā¤ļø
Amazing work last week! Jill has been working very hard on her confidence and so she's able to give her lovely horse Maggie lots of confidence too! They've come on so much in a short time and have both had a much more positive attitude to riding especially in the school! Really great workš¤©
Polly and Wilbur! In our first session Wilbur would grab the bit, fall through the shoulder and run at speed making pollyās job very difficult, after a few weeks of hard work we have managed to slow him right down and heās starting to move away from the leg and show some lovely work! Such an improvement! Well done āŗļø
Avaās 1st vs 3rd jump lesson! So much hard work gone into her jumping and so much improvement in just 3 sessionsā¤ļø
Ava having her first ride on the lovely Clayton! She is beginning to learn how to ride into the contact, Clayton is beautifully schooled and is really helping her to get a feel for it! She is also working on keeping her shoulders back, pushing from her seat and riding him with more forward energyā¤ļø doing amazing!
Heidi
For those of you that donāt know this is one of my lovely horses Heidiā¤ļø Iāve not had her long but already have such a soft spot for her! She thinks very highly of herself (as she should!) We are working on getting her a bit sharper and off the leg on the flatš„°
As you can see this was a lesson a few months ago in less than ideal conditions š love seeing Abi and her amazing pony Breeze do so well together! (Not that Iām bias or anythingš)
Iāve had a lovely busy day of teaching and riding today! Had 5 horses all working really well! This is the only video I gotš but amazing riding from everyone and thank you all for the supportā¤ļø
