A cat sitter is a person who visits your home to feed, care and play with your cat whilst you are away. It's an ideal alternative to a cattery which can be very stressful to some cats. Cats are much happier staying where they feel safe and familiar, surrounded by the smells and sounds they know. I have now been visiting cats for 15 years and have a large client base so lots of references! It's als

o good for security reasons as i take in mail, can open/close curtains, water plants and i even drive an unmarked car! I can even have essentials waiting for your return. Text messages/emails can be sent as often as requested...including daily...for your peace of mind. Why I became a Cat sitter

The idea for me to set up my own business as a cat sitter stems back to when my Dad and his wife moved away from us and so I had to search myself for someone to feed my lot when we are away. I didn’t want to leave them in a cattery but our nearest cat sitter was a long distance away and the local pet sitters were more dog people. As I’ve always adored cats I thought it a brilliant business opportunity as there must be other cat owners with the same problem. So 15 years later here I am with a large customer base and have had the privilege of visiting a large number of cats; from tiny kittens to OAP’s (my oldest being 22 years young!). I have visited very very shy cats where I’ve had to work my socks off to get them confident enough to come to me and the other end of the scale, very bold cats that plonked themselves on my lap at the consultation! I’ve had to deal with the sadness of receiving emails/calls telling me a cat has passed away but then the excitement of those owners getting back in touch as they’ve adopted another cat. Each cat I visit has their very own personality and I’ve found none the same. One thing they all do the same is recognise me as the food and fuss lady, so once they’ve got to know me they happily greet me at the door which is a wonderful feeling!

A very proud cat sitter moment this morning 😌. Lagertha finally came downstairs for her food 🥳 She's an ultra shy scared girl and it took several visits for her to come out of hiding when I first started cat sitting her many years ago. I've always had to feed her up upstairs since so she had easy access to her hidey hole , which I respected. This morning out of the blue she came and joined her housemates. I had to double look 🤣🤣🤣❤️ Well done brave Lagertha. Now just keep doing that 🤣

I've had to temporarily close my client book again to brand new clients I'm afraid so I can concentrate on the 1's I already have and to be able to accommodate them. Lots of bookings coming through now so sharing my no service & fully booked dates. I'll edit as I get fully booked.

PLEASE NOTE....I don't take deposits and I do this with the understanding that if anything changes with your booking you let me know as soon as you're aware. This way I have plenty of time to fill your spot. Over the last year it's become more frequent that I'm not being told until I get in touch to arrange key pick up that im no longer needed. This is done 7 days before your booking and the chances of me filling that space in a week is almost zero. A couple of weeks plus notice the chances are high. PLEASE as soon as you're aware your holiday is cancelled or you've found someone cheaper or free to care for your cats LET ME KNOW! If it's the latter just say you don't need me, I won't mind or be nasty in anyway. I get it, just let me know so I can fill your spot and I'm not left out of pocket. Thank you 😊 ❤️

I had a sad text off Ebony's Mum this morning, she's gained her angel wings and reunited with her son Charlie 💔

She was a character and was happy just being fed and let out into her garden for a wander. She lived to a ripe old age and was spoilt rotten the whole time, just as she should be. Sending condolences to her folks at this very sad time 🫂
