Hand-striping is a grooming technique that removes dead hairs from a dog’s coat, and there are so many benefits to this! This includes …
🐾 It maintains a healthier coat giving a better appearance overall!
🐾 It enhances the colour in the coat when guards hairs are removed!
🐾 It removes the dead coat from the root rather than off the top so it promotes this healthier coat growth!
🐾 It reduces the amount of shedding and prevents matting!
🐾 It is a pain free technique as we are only speeding up a natural process!

The breeds of dog that are able to be stripped are
🐾 Wire coated terrier breeds
🐾 Schnauzers
🐾 Cocker spaniel
🐾 Irish wolf hounds
🐾 Wire haired pointers

However if their coat has previously been clipped, we would not be able to handstrip as this changes the coat texture!

It’s coming to that time of year again where the salon will look like a snow globe; yes it’s deshedding season🌨️🌨️

Many will start to notice their dogs losing more fur, there is a good reason for this; during cold months their coat will become thicker and more dense to insulate themselves🥶, and warmer months they will shed the heavy coat to prevent over heating🥵.

Deshedding is important as it will improve airflow and circulation of the dogs skin, this will also help to prevent any skin irritation and matting.
It will also greatly reduce the amount of hair your dog will naturally lose if it is removed in a deshed package meaning you will have less hair on you and in your home; no one wants hair tumble weeds do they? 😫

🐶BRAND NEW PUPPY PACK PRICING🐶

We have now reintroduced our puppy pack option, prices ranging from £20 - £25 😁

Puppy packs can begin as soon as your puppy has had all their vaccinations and are able to go on walks. They are a vital part of training especially for breeds who will need regular grooming as they will gradually be introduced to the process so it isn’t so daunting when their first groom comes along at around 6 months old
