Update on Valley Vets emergency cover after the terrible flooding at the weekend.
As of this evening 6pm they will be back and fully operational at the hospital site.
They have thanked everyone for their messages of support and understanding over the last few days.

We have received notification that very sadly the out of hours hospital in Gwaelod Y Garth is at risk of flooding this morning. They are still covering the out of hours service and if you call their number 02920001454 they will direct you accordingly.
EDIT NOW CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING.

I’ve got all my (brothers and) sisters with me.
We’ve had a little family neuter session today, here they are all cuddled up after their operations.

Meet marvellous Marvel, he’s been such a brave lad, he’s had a really big operation and throughout he’s been a pleasure. He’s a really happy gentleman and he always lifts our mood whenever he pops in to see us. He gives wonderful kisses with that tongue 👅

Please be aware that Cats Protection have changed the way they provide help with neutering. If you require help with the cost of neutering please get in touch directly with Cats Protection at your nearest centre.
We no longer keep vouchers at the practice.

This lovely lady is in with us today. She has just had a keyhole spay and is already up and about asking for some food! We hope she can keep calm for just a couple of days to allow the tiny wounds to heal, - then Rogue you can go back to running in the fields:-)

Beautiful Nova was in for her booster with Jess on Friday, such a good girl sitting on the scales to be weighed, no cheating at all, four paws firmly on the scales.

Can anyone guess why this sweet little one is called Batman? Just look at those ears. Batman is a pup that was born suddenly and as mum was a bit poorly had to be hand reared by one of FOAW fabulous volunteers, take a bow Emma.

It’s been cat week this week, we’ve had the very handsome Douglas in for his 2nd vaccination and a litter of beautiful Persian kittens in for 1st vaccines.

A Cautionary Tale
This is gorgeous Murphy, as you can see he’s a fabulous Labrador Retriever, now Labs do have a habit of eating things they really shouldn’t. Murphy surpassed all expectations of what he shouldn’t eat by ingesting a fair sized pebble and something of unknown origin as dessert. Alas these foreign objects had nowhere to go and poor Murphy had to have a big operation yesterday to remove the objects.
Thankfully he’s bounced back amazingly well and gone home with Mum this morning. Photos for reference of the gorgeous boy and the irresistible objects.

This lovely lady was in with us today to have a lump removed and her teeth cleaned. She’s always a pleasure to have around. Enjoy a sleep in the sun this afternoon Elsie:-)
