Beautiful gentle Cotton is recovering with my family. First time I’ve had a dog that actually wants to wear my jumpers.

WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW TO GET COTTON ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY! 💔

This lovely lurcher we’ve called Cotton, was found abandoned in a field in the Vale of Glamorgan.

When she arrived at Hope she was unable to stand and our team got her straight to the vets. After X-rays, it showed she had a broken front right leg and a dislocated elbow.

First steps were to reposition her elbow, thankfully this was successful. She then underwent surgery to pin her front leg. ❤️‍🩹

One of our wonderful, experienced foster families stepped in to care for Cotton during her recovery. Her vet bill alone has cost us over £4500 and we’re sure she’s going to need additional care and support to get her back on track. ❤

Winter is already hitting us hard and a vet bill like this is huge to us, but we couldn’t let this young dog suffer. We have made a promise to make sure there is no dog left behind, so we’re doing everything we can to get her better.
