Hotspots can be nasty and may well need antibiotics from your vet

But in the early stages do the following

**clip the hair away from around the wound
**stop licking and scratching
**bathe with cold black tea or colloidal silver twice daily
**apply Activon medicated manuka honey cream after bathing and allowing the area to dry

Why is the hotspot occurring - ear infection? Full a**l glands? Play detective!!

Always seek vet advice if unsure or not healing

Did you know dogs will sunbathe even when they are feeling really hot - they can push themselves into heatstroke.

Keep those paw pads cool with tepid water. Surgical spirit on the paw pads of those dogs suffering heatstroke can make a huge difference and help to cool them down as you seek vet help ❤️
