This gorgeous girl is a little trooper, she's begun home physiotherapy sessions with the hopes of building up to the underwater treadmill. She's been diagnosed with lumbosacral stenosis, lumbarisation of the sacrum and discospondylitis.

Elsa has made great progress already🙌, by working alongside the vets (who also carry out check ups and manage her pain medication) and her amazing owner starting her physio exercises and massage at home. She's starting a structured walking plan alongside her exercises to help build up strength and range of motion 🐾 🥰

💛This morning fluffy came to see us at the Bridgend clinic for some physio treatment for his back legs to help release tension and make him more comfortable. 🧡Tango had a house visit this afternoon for a maintenance check up for elbow dysplasia. Tango 🧡 this gorgeous girl has been diagnosed with elbow dysplasia recently so has been referred for physiotherapy. She loves massage during her sessions and was definitely more relaxed following the second appointment. She loves the more active part of the sessions (may be because she gets to go over jumps and use the wobble cushion or could be the treats... 😂😋).

I've never known a dog to get so excited by me bringing out the wobble cushion at the first house visit 😅 Charlie was very upset when I needed to take it home with me, luckily his family brought him one for him to have forever 💙
This handsome boy needed some specific exercises and massage to carry out between sessions to help with his mobility and to relax any tense areas. ❤️

Bonnie showing off her yoga poses whilst sat on me 😅 this girlie has been through so much but comes back stronger every time! Even with Bonnie having surgery on her ear recently, she's still gained muscle mass and tone in both her back legs and is stronger and more stable with her footing. With bonnie's mum being a future animal physio and following the home exercise plan perfectly, she's in the best hands! ❤️🐾

This little face ❤️ Jenson has come on leaps and bounds following surgery on his hip earlier this year. His owner has been brilliant at doing all home exercises alongside regular treadmill sessions. He's gained muscle, strength and range of motion in the affected leg gradually over a few months. Proud of this boy 🧡🐾

Lacey at her very first underwater treadmill session 🌊 she was a little nervous to begin with but with some encouragement and treats she did brilliantly ❤️

Her owners have been really diligent with her home exercise plan which has resulted in lacey now being even in her muscle mass in her back legs which is great news! Well done lacey 🎉🥰

Bonnie, a little ball of happiness ☀️💖

This girlie has been through so much, she's recovering from a cruciate repair and meningitis but has the most amazing owner looking out for her.

We were joined by her cat siblings during the session who came along to watch (and have some cwtches of course). She loved her physio session and needed a long nap after 😴

If you need to use a harness for your pet, a correctly fitted harness is very important!
It can make a huge difference to your pets gait and range of motion. Improper fitting may cause your pet to be uncomfortable and they are more at risk of being able to escape out of their harness.

The pictures below show how it can affect their shoulder range of motion in particular.

This handsome boy has elbow dysplasia, he is a very happy boy as you can see by the photos. He decided to sit in my lap before starting 😂
I've made a tailored plan that his owners can follow in between sessions to help support him. He absolutely loved the session, we're going to use his normal dry food next time, as the extra smelly dog treats made him very excited 😋❤️

Little Roux 💙 He's had some physio and Underwater treadmill sessions, alongside his owner doing at home exercises. He's gained 1.5cm on his left back leg and 1cm on his right back leg, which is great progress for such a little doggo🐾 We're working on getting his back legs even by building strength in both his back legs and core. He's doing so well ❤️

Jenson 💙 His owners have been doing an amazing job of doing each exercise and following a tailored plan, they've even made him a homemade cardboard hole to go through as an alternative to the low hurdles to encourage full range of motion in his back legs 🐾❤️ Alongside his tailored plan, he has been having physiotherapy and Underwater treadmill sessions. He's gained 3cm of muscle mass on his affected leg following surgery which is fantastic!! Well done Jenson 🎉👏 #animalphysio #caninephysio #southwalesphysio #underwatertreadmill
