Hello! My name is Rhian and I have been a dog owner nearly all my life. I currently have a gorgeous black labradoodle named Daisy, who has basically become a surrogate daughter alongside my other two children in the 12 years we’ve had her.
My time around dogs has taught me that a dog is so much more than a pet – it becomes part of the family, with its own specific personality and needs. Entrusting your dog to a stranger can seem a little daunting, but that’s where Wagging Tails steps in.
I decided to join Wagging Tails after leaving Daisy in a kennel left me worried, which in turn , meant that I didn’t enjoy my holiday as much as I should have. With Wagging Tails, you can be sure that your dog will receive some of the finest, one-to- one care, from people with a genuine love of dogs.
We have wonderful carers who are all committed to ensuring your dog’s safety and comfort, which means that however long their stay, you can be sure your dog will enjoy a wonderful holiday whilst you do too!
Wagging Tails acts as a home away from home for your dog and you can rest easy in the knowledge that you have chosen the best option for your best friend.

With the temperatures set to soar again, we hope you enjoy the sunshine, but please remember to keep your pets safe!

🔹Walk them early morning or late evening when it’s cooler and they are less at risk of heat stroke, which can be fatal.
🔹Tarmac can reach high temperatures that may lead to blistering and burns on pads. If you can’t hold the back of your hand against the tarmac for more than 30 seconds then it’s too hot for their feet.
🔹Keep plenty of areas of shade within the garden and have multiple cool water sources for them to drink from - ice cubes are a great way to keep them cool!
🔷 Avoid car journeys at the hottest times.

If you are concerned that your pet may have heat stroke, move them to a cooler area in the shade and contact us immediately for advice before treating.

Springtime Awareness for Dogs & their Owners 🐑🐄

Given the amount of sunshine we’ve had recently, the leaves growing on trees and the fact daffodils are now being replaced by bluebells and the bleating coming from the fields around me I think it’s fair to say Spring is well underway. 🌷🌳

Spring is a glorious time of year and for dog owners often a relief not to have to don the wellies and have the dog shampoo ready for the end of the walk. However, whilst there are so many positives that come from this time of year there are also hazards to be aware of.

We're delighted to announce that the bill to increase maximum sentences for animal cruelty from six months to five years has finally passed through parliament! 🎉 Blue Cross has campaigned for this law, with other animal welfare charities, for many years and we are delighted that progress has happened. This law will now send a message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated.
