Welcome to Ty Wyth Newydd Livery and Rehabilitation Yard. We offer various livery packages including schooling; breaking; sales; competition; rehabilitation; training; as well as in-house competitions and training. We aim to provide a relaxed and calm environment in which you and your horse can relax.

PART LIVERY

What does our Part livery include?

Our Part livery package consists of:
✔ 5 days of full care (mucking out, bring in, turnout, rug changes, skip out, feed preparation, haynets filled, etc) and 2 days assisted (we do one end of the day, so we'll either bring in or turnout, we don't muck out, etc).
✔ Excellent haylage
✔ Premium bedding (1 bag)
✔ Rug changes (if required)
✔ Use of facilities
✔ A friendly ear and a helping hand.

We charge £90 per week.

Please before you say that is too expensive, work out your costs, including hidden costs like time spent travelling to and from the yard and fuel costs. Also, bear in mind that any livery yard is a business and in order for you to have somewhere to keep your horse, they have to charge an amount that will cover their expenses plus give a small profit (😱). They cannot subsidise your hobby at the expense paying their bills unfortunately.

We currently have a couple of spaces for Part or Full Livery for geldings available from May.

We are looking for clients who are polite, courteous, clean and tidy minded, who like to have their horses out and don't mind a bit of mud rug 😉, as we offer all year turnout but not 24hrs.

In return we can offer a range of facilities:

🔆 Large outdoor school with a range of Jump 4 Joy show jumps and arena cross country, white boards and mirrors.
🔆 Small indoor school with mirrors.
🔆 Large lunge pen
🔆 Washbox with hot water
🔆 Weighbridge
🔆 Regular clinics

We are also lucky enough to have some fab hacking on the doorstep with Hensol Forestry, Cowbridge Common amongst other routes.

Livery Space

Are you struggling with the issue of having to restrict your horse's access to grass but wish for them to have freedom of movement?
Have you thought of trying a 'track' system? We currently have a space for a gelding, on a full livery basis, on our grass track. The horses are on the track during Spring and Summer, and then strip grazed on the middles during Autumn and Winter.

We have a track around 4 paddocks (approximately 1.5/2 acres), which encourages the horses to move around as they graze and browse the hedgerows. Enrichment stations will be dotted around the track.

Our track livery space includes your own stable and use of the facilities.

With spring just around the corner and everyone starting to come out of hibernation, we have a vacancy for a gelding.
We have 2 options, either Full livery with individual paddock OR full livery on a track system (with use of a stable).

With either option, you can make use of our fabulous facilities and good hacking on the doorstep.

Our Full livery packages include:
🔹️ a good sized stable with rubber matting and auto waterers
🔹️turnout all year round (not 24hrs) either individual paddock or on the track
🔹️premium bedding (upto 2 bags)
🔹️quality haylage
🔹️use of 60m x 30m outdoor arena with Jump for Joy show jumps and arena eventing jumps, dressage boards and mirrors
🔹️use of 30m x 15m indoor school with mirrors
🔹️use of 20m x 20m lunge pen
🔹️washbox with hot water
🔹️weighbridge (nominal fee to be paid for unlimited use)

FREELANCE GROOMS

Are there any grooms looking for some more work in the CF71 area?
We are potentially looking for someone to do about an hour's mucking out every day, hence suitable if already in the area.
Role is just mucking out straw pellet beds- no handling of horses or riding, just boring old s**t shovelling 😉 More hours may be available in the future.

Dreaming of having the choice to ride undercover, out of the elements?

Have a look at us at Ty Wyth Newydd Stables, where we have a small indoor (30m x 15m) school where you can hide from the weather. It may be considered small, but it's a blessing to have in these conditions.

On drier days (do they exist anymore 🤔 😉), we have a large outdoor school (60m x 30m) with a range of jumps and poles. We also have a large lunge pen available too.

Currently we have a couple of spaces for Part or Full livery with group turnout (separate mares and geldings).

Now that winter is nearly upon us, we have a couple of spaces for Part or Full livery.

We are a quiet, friendly and supportive yard, which makes for a great training and enjoyable environment.
Take advantage of our fab location- just 5 minutes off Jct34 M4 and about 10 minutes to A48. Nestled in between 2 vet clinics (for those that love a sick note 😉)
Great hacking through Hensol Forestry, over Cowbridge Common and beyond on our doorstep.

TRACK LIVERY

We currently offer a track system alongside our more 'traditional ' livery. We had great success last summer with some of our clients, so are opening up a few spaces for this year.

We have 1 space available on our geldings track and potentially 2 or 3 spaces on our mares track, on a Part or Full basis.
