Please share - Sub adult to adult corn snake handed in to us found in a garden in the St Mellons Cardiff area. However they can travel far so if you have a 2 year old+ corn snake snake that's escaped in Cardiff in the last year please drop us a message with the morph so we can see if it matches. This snake may have been out a while as it does have some injuries which have already mostly healed. We would love to find the owner of this snake and get them home again. If we do not find an owner they will be rehomed in 4 weeks or so once healed up and eating well.

REHOME / RESCUES: We have two adult boa constrictors looking for good experienced homes.

Rose has now been up for rehoming for a YEAR and still not found a home. She needs an experienced handler able to use a snake hook and shouldn't be handled by children as she needs more work to feel safe and confident. She loves being out on display in the tank and will happily bask in a busy environment, but becomes fearful when handled.

The Sunglow boa has recently come in but is ready to go now and will still need someone who can handle large snakes but is fairly chill. She is a bit shorter in length than Rose but is overweight so still weighs about the same.

We are turning away other rehomes / rescues because these two big snakes are taking up some of our largest enclosures.

Each needs a bare minimum 6x2x2 but ideally 6x3 or 8x2 and someone who is confident and can use a hook to help get them out of the enclosure and can handle the weight of a large snake.

REHOME / RESCUE: Can you offer a home to Sassy the Hypo Corn Snake? Sassy by name, sassy by nature, this is a healthy adult corn snake that has not been handled and is fearful of humans. This is fairly rare for an adult corn snake as they are usually a very laid back snake and we do not know what she has experienced to make her this way.

This does cause her to attempt to strike and she will bite, particularly when initially being removed from the enclosure. Once out she is quick but not aggressive, but would not be suitable for children at the moment.

Even though corn snakes are a beginner species, she needs an owner who is confident with defensive snakes and is willing to work with her. It's not her fault that she is afraid and she deserves to find a home that will show her that humans won't hurt her.

The minimum enclosure size for an adult corn snake is 48x18x18".

We have other rehome animals looking for a good home including other corn snakes, royal pythons, boa constrictors, crested geckos and more.

Our first baby Emerald Tree Skink has hatched, first time breeding for this species for us but hopefully the first of many more to come. If handled every day from a young age this species can be very tame.

Our Story

We - Christy and Ben Bruckner - opened Reptile Cymru in 2007 with the aim of providing high quality captive bred reptiles with a focus on animal welfare and sustainability within the pet trade.

As a family-run independent small business, we can focus on the things that are most important to us - which is increasing awareness of how to correctly care for reptiles and ensuring that our animals go to the correct homes. We want you to be happy with your reptiles, and for them to be happy with you too!

We’ll always try to price-match where possible and offer excellent value for money, so if you’re thinking about buying elsewhere, just have a chat with us and we’ll see what we can do for you.

By supporting Reptile Cymru, you support a community focused business and help us to put our energy and finance into ecological sustainability, education, awareness and rescuing and rehoming exotics that need a second chance, something we receive no funding for.
