You can buy balls from The Gwaelod y Garth Inn to support local causes

P.S - if you’re collecting your dog from the kennels it might be best to avoid coming through Gwaelod in the morning!

We are so excited to share with you the news of our next charity fundraising event.

The Garth Hill Spectacular Ball Race will involve the release of hundreds of numbered balls down the hill towards the famous hairpin bend and across a finish line at the pub.

There will be dozens of prizes to be won. Balls are available to buy from the pub. Our target is to sell 2000 balls and the money raised will be donated across 4 local charities.

2:45pm - There is an abandoned car blocking the road on the hill to the kennels (coming up the hill from Treforest/Gwaelod Y Garth). Customers coming to us this afternoon may have to take an alternative route, to come down the hill from the Efail Isaf direction

We’re almost fully booked for summer, here are the dates we currently have available - for most of these dates we only have 1 regular kennel space (for one dog, or 2 small/medium dogs that are from the same household to share):

⭐ 3rd July - 6th July: one double kennel available for two medium/large dogs or 3 medium dogs that are from the same household to share

⭐ 26thAugust into September: 2 double kennels available, for two medium/large dogs or 3 medium dogs that are from the same household to share

⚠️ Important Message - FLOODED ROAD ⚠️

Please be careful on your journey to us today; the road leading to us via Upper
Boat/Treforest Industrial Estate (Willowford road) is flooded by the river due to the amount of rain we have had over the past 2 days

Alternative routes:
From Upper Boat- turn right onto Maesmawr road before entering the lane towards Treforest train station and keep going left until you come back down the hill towards the kennels, we will then be on the left

Or follow the road through Gwaelod Y Garth, and turn a sharp left up the hill by Willowford Stables, and we will then be on the right

Please check your maps if you are unsure

🔵 2025 Price Changes 🔵

Due to the ever rising cost of running a business; including energy bills, dog food, regular maintenance, and our desire to continue investing in the kennels to give the best possible care to our guests, we are having to increase our prices for 2025. Details can be found on our website. All bookings between now and 31st December will stay at the current price
