🎄✨ Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from all of us at Gedrys Farm Kennels ✨🎄

As the year draws to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful guests and their families for your continued support and trust throughout the year. It truly means the world to us.

This Christmas, instead of sending cards, we’ve chosen to make donations to causes close to our hearts – St Mungo’s, Many Tears Animal Rescue, and Hope Rescue – supporting people and animals who need it most during the festive season.

We hope you enjoy a joyful Christmas filled with warmth, kindness, and a few muddy paws, and we wish you a happy, healthy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you and your dogs back in 2026 🐶❤️

⛔️ Willowford Road Warning ⛔️

Update Tuesday 2nd, 8am: road is pretty clear so should be fine to use today 🤞🏼

The road alongside the river (from Upper Boat roundabout/greggs to the railway bridge at the bottom of the kennels hill) is starting to flood and the river looks very high at the moment ☔️

Please be advised to find an alternative route to the kennels (either through Gwaelod-y-Garth, or use the road that comes down the hill to turn left into the kennels). There are directions on our website for the route via Gwaelod

We will try to keep this post updated throughout the week as the wet weather continues!

☔️ Road Flood Risk ☔️

For those travelling to us this week please note that in very heavy rain the road alongside the river Taf (from Upper Boat roundabout, passing Treforest Industrial Estate Station) sometimes floods! It’s usually best to avoid this road, either coming to the kennels from Efail Isaf direction or through Gwaelod-Y-Garth
