I’ve been making up aprons today for the Wylde Florence X Lush pop up on Saturday 🎉 I love to sew, muscle memory takes over and I get completely caught up in it, carried off to beauty land. Gathering and pressing and measuring. I enjoy it like I enjoy weeding, (I know, I know) it busies my mind like a meditation.

Sometimes sewing transports me back to what feels like someone else’s life. A faster, louder life, wild in a different way to now. Now it feels a *bit* more calm and intentional. My surrounds are different, I can hear my girls making dens and screaming at big gusts of wind out in the garden. My mind wanders to the flower field hoping the dahlia supports stand up.

A perfect Sunday if you ask me.

Another day, another heartbreakingly gorgeous dahlia mix. Some real beauties blooming now and the start of the dinner plates, enter cafe au lait. I’ve sure missed ‘em…

I was out cutting before the rain yesterday trying to save all the big flowers that get too heavy and snap easy when full of rain or worse, get completely spoiled. Enjoying sorting them into colours for orders under shelter this rainy morning 🙏🏼

✨I’m so super excited to be popping up at Lush, Buchanan street on Saturday 6th September ✨

I’ll be in store from 9.30am, ready to chat about my growing/supplying process, growing seasonal flowers in our wonderful part of the world and answering any questions you might have about growing your own too.

I’ll be turning up with bucket loads of dahlias which are at their ultimate best right now (yay) plus our floriculturally inspired, sustainable clothing pieces. Overalls and aprons galore!!

I’m very proud to supply Lush, such a large company supporting locally grown flowers is a big deal. Incredibly talented in store florists work wonders with my ever changing deliveries each week, embracing the joy seasonality brings.

Can’t wait to see you there!! 💞

A hazy, damp and cold morning this morning. The owls have been calling through the night indicating a turn in the seasons and I can feel it in the air (and my icy fingers).

But behold! The first few pastel floret zinnias are ready. It’s like they were waiting for this melancholic morning to garnish their faded tones before stiffening their stems for cutting. I’ve had a struggle with zinnia in our wet climate, the bright brash tones seem to be stronger plants but I love these muted, vintage beauties so much. After last year’s wash out I’m deeming this as a success! Little wins :)

Super duper gorgeous posies are out now farm shop for the weekend🎉

This week there’s some very pretty and romantic soft pink posies and more rich, opulent burnt toffee colourways. A glorious mix featuring hydrangea, rose buds, dahlias (in all their forms), calla lily, sedum, some fabulous fluffy sanguisorba, rudbeckia and some incredible big glads.

My beloved dahlias are here and in their full, glorious swing - such wonders to behold!

They are filling my heart with joy and I could wax lyrical about them all day (I won’t though, promise). There’s some real beauts coming through with lots of new additions this year creating my (near) perfect dream colour ways.

It’s been a bit of an odd year for me so far, my attentions were pulled slightly with some personal matters over the past few months after launching the clothing at Scone Palace. So my apologies for lurking around in stories, it felt like a more quiet space in which to share while I was working some things out behind the scenes.

I’ve been chomping at the bit to get everything launched on line and I’ll be keeping everyone updated via the WF email newsletter with early access once it all goes live.

In the meantime, I’m very excited to say I’ll be popping up and peddling my wares in Glasgow city center very soon 🎉 💞

My beloved dahlias are here in all their glory!! I’m super excited to have some highly sought after, brand new varieties in the mix this year. Their incredibly delicate tones enhancing my favourite palette ten fold. What a joy to behold.

Freshly cut this morning, I’ll have some mid week special posies out farm shop for 1 today to celebrate.

Hi guys!! I can’t believe another week has flown by!! I’ve been super busy playing a *bit* of catch up in the garden after the wonderful last weekend. I’ve been out cutting and delivering orders, speed pulling weeds before they set seed, pinching out my quite overeager dahlias while covered in aphids at all times.

The farm has enjoyed a much needed soaking this week - my hair not enjoying it as much. I’m looking a bit Brian May in the humidity :)

A gorgeous week for flowers, roses, martagon lily, peonies, ranunculus, Dutch iris, silene, rich clove scented disnthus, lupine and towering digitalis. The first of the overwintered snaps in the tunnel and my favourite ruffled geranium is here 🎉

I’ve hardy had a moment to stop and smell the flowers!! There’s some exciting things going on behind the scenes, I’ll can’t wait to share everything in the coming weeks.

Here’s to another wonderful week ahead, you’ll likely find me lurking about in stories with updates from the farm 🥰
