Hi guys!! I can’t believe another week has flown by!! I’ve been super busy playing a *bit* of catch up in the garden after the wonderful last weekend. I’ve been out cutting and delivering orders, speed pulling weeds before they set seed, pinching out my quite overeager dahlias while covered in aphids at all times.

The farm has enjoyed a much needed soaking this week - my hair not enjoying it as much. I’m looking a bit Brian May in the humidity :)

A gorgeous week for flowers, roses, martagon lily, peonies, ranunculus, Dutch iris, silene, rich clove scented disnthus, lupine and towering digitalis. The first of the overwintered snaps in the tunnel and my favourite ruffled geranium is here 🎉

I’ve hardy had a moment to stop and smell the flowers!! There’s some exciting things going on behind the scenes, I’ll can’t wait to share everything in the coming weeks.

Here’s to another wonderful week ahead, you’ll likely find me lurking about in stories with updates from the farm 🥰

Today I launched the very beginnings of the Wylde Florence clothing line at - what a complete and utter joy of a day!!! Thank you so much to everyone who popped by, it was such a treat getting to discuss my two favourite things to such a fabulously receptive and supportive group of people, the response has been totally overwhelming 🙏🏼💞

I can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow 🎉🎉🎉

I’m *super* excited to announce that Wylde Florence is growing out of the field and into your wardrobes 🎉 I’ll be at this year with my very first offering of floriculturally inspired, sustainable clothing on the 30th to 31st of May this year 🎉

It will be the first (and exclusive) launch of our fully OEKO cert linen overalls and aprons created, by hand, to be a million percent ready for all your flower farming/gardening/aprés jardinage needs . Trust me, I’ve done the squat tests…

I can’t wait to see you all there and hope you love my creations as much as I do… There’s so much more to come from us design wise so please do sign up to the email link (in bio) and I’ll update the website as soon as pieces become available online. I had an incredible day yesterday checking out the new Garden Futures exhibition at the I just can’t recommend it enough, exploring the evolution of garden design this exhibition tells the story of how gardens shape our lives, communities and the world around us.

I posed around in an outfit made by my own fair hand* and inspired, as always, by my beautiful flowers. For my sanctuary and most sacred ground, this outfit felt like the right way to represent.

The exhibition opens this weekend so be sure to pop in, I’ll be heading back and taking my girls who will totally love all the interactive aspects.

Sorting through flowers for delivery to Lush, (Buchanan St) tomorrow morning and I’m so sad to think that’s us at the end of tulip season… I’m not ready!!!!!!

They’ve kicked off spring with a bang, been so heartbreakingly beautiful and come in such wonderful abundance. I won’t see so much of one type of flower until dahlia time (eeek). One of the great joys from my tulips this year has been many, many people asking ‘what are they?’ They’ve been so outrageous, in all their forms 💘

There’s lots of glorious flowers still come (you know I love the try outs) and an extra non-flowery offering still to come from me too this year, waaaah! 🎉

I noticed these tulips this morning and my first thought was ‘oh no, I’ve let them go to far for cutting’ then I looked at them and it hit me just how long it’s been since I saw an actual flowering flower in all its glory. Just to enjoy it for its full blown, incredible beauty. For me!

Now I can’t stop looking at them, the colours, the form, the beauty of the layered petals… all work has stopped. My mind is full of their beauty. The joy of flowers 💞

A photo from last year of my main growing space tucked within the beautiful Ardardan Estate.

This garden is an incredibly special place to me, it’s the first place my floriculturally inspired dreams became a reality. I love the dynamic life within the garden, the smell of the dirt and the glorious beauty it produces. I love the joy it brings to my soul and seeing others brighten as we chat over the fence about our gardening wins (and woes). I love my quiet mind as I work. I’m eternally grateful to all at Ardardan for trusting me, allowing me to steward this magical parcel of land and welcoming me so warmly🙏🏼

Another totally amazing tulip harvest this morning, although it was a much more muddy affair today after the rains (which have made everything turn that incredible chartreuse spring green 😍)

The soft pastels of last week have finished with rich double peony flowered pink tones taking their place for this weekends offerings. Of course the incredibly flamboyant parrot tulips still going strong too, everyone’s fav.

Full disclosure, I’m posting this while wrapped up in bed after not feeling very well this afternoon. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to anything otherwise it’s a free for all tulip picking session tomorrow… Just kidding, as if I’d let a that stop me pulling those stems 💃🏻

This photo was taken early this morning by my little daughter Winter who was carefully holding my phone while I grabbed a few extra stems en route to the car. Amazingly this tulip haul was the last of three batches this am 😍

We were out before the sun came up as picking at dawn or dusk ensures the stems are as hydrated as possible, giving the flower the longest possible vase life. Definitely worth the icy cold hands of doom 😅

I’ll share a video of Winter showing how we harvest the tulips bulb and all in stories, she’s a professional at just 5

🎉Happy 2025 Flower Season everyone🎉

The first posies of the year are here - available from the wonderful farm shop. They’re packed full of Spring delights, the incredible fritillaria imperialis is our focal this week, complimented by the first tulips, frit uva vulpis, leucojum, euphorbias, Pieris, the most gorgeous fancy daffs. A feast for the senses.

Introducing…. The very first little bucket of tulips of the season!!!!! They’re the most beautiful, soft, romantic things I’ve ever seen. The petals are lustrous like pale apricot silk with the perfect pink blush…. I’ve missed them so, so much.

They were picked this morning (I’ll put a satisfying video in stories) bulb and all from the poly before the heat of the day blew them completely.

All 7,000 tulips seem to be ready to go all at the one time this year, completely disregarding their early, mid, late categories. So if you need me you know where I’ll be, in my ultimate happy place picking the flowers…

I can’t wait to share the first posies with you, they’ll be out on Friday from 10am farm shop 💘
