My name is Emily and I am the sole owner of Tails & Trails Dog Walking. just about anything really!!

I grew up in Surrey and moved to Cumbria in 2015 and have never looked back since due to Cumbria's unrivalled charm. I am passionate about animals and about walking and hiking and so starting a dog walking business felt like a no brainer. I’ve always been around dogs having grown up with a Chocolate Labrador (Coco), a Springer Spaniel (Bertie) and a Black Labrador (Monty) and so I know just how sp

ecial they are. I am currently working my way through the 214 Wainwright peaks with my own furry friend Jasper. Jasper is a Collie Cocker cross and as such is FULL of energy and in need of plenty of exercise. Jasper is a very friendly dog and loves to swim and to play fetch with a stick or a ball or well.. My background is in hospitality and more specifically hotel management but after being furloughed in 2020, I had time to re-evaluate my goals and ambitions and decided to work toward realising my dream to work with animals and as such, Tails & Trails was born. I consider myself to be reliable, compassionate and experienced handling dogs of different breeds and temperaments and I would love to meet some of your four-legged friends and be their new walking buddy! The important bits:

• Professional Dog Businesses UK - 2022 Pet Sitting Award Winner (Dog Walker Runner Up)
• Qualified in Animal First Aid & CPR
• Diploma in Professional Dog Walking & Pet Sitting (CPD Certified)
• CPD approved qualification in Dog Behaviour & Training (ICOES Certified)
• DBS checked – certificate available on request
• Member of Professional Dog Businesses UK
• Plenty of experience

Not many home boarders about in Carlisle. Your doggies will spend the duration of their stay as part of the family, with a very large garden and exciting walks. 🐾

⚠️Information for dog owners.

Unfortunately we have confirmed cases of Parvovirus local to Cockermouth and surrounding areas.

Parvo is a highly contagious virus causing bloody diarrhoea, vomiting and lethargy and sadly it can often be fatal despite intensive treatment.

Be assured if you come in yearly for booster vaccines, your dogs chance of contracting Parvo is minimal. Unvaccinated dogs, particularly puppies or older dogs, are most at risk.

If you are unsure of your dogs vaccination status (or have other questions), please contact us by EMAIL to [email protected] stating your name, address and pet name and we will advise you according to our records.

Hello all! We’re about to enter peak wedding season and this year I am BUSY! I do still have a couple of dates for last minute bookings this summer and a few dates for Autumn/ Winter weddings. 2025 is filling fast, enquiries are coming in faster than I can keep up 😅 Plenty of space for 2026 and my diary is open.
