Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year everyone! 🎄🎅
Myself and your doggies hope you all have a wonderful time full of Christmas magic, and all the best wishes for 2025 🎉
I hope my weekly doggies enjoyed their natural treat cones, and instead of cards for the humans this year I instead made a donation to Oak Tree Animals Charity, to help them spread some festive spirit to the animals in their care too 🐾

And of course, it’s not a parkland paw’s Christmas without some of the doggies from our last few days modelling a santa hat and antlers! 🦌

Photo catch up from June! 🐶 Social Media has taken abit of a back burner whilst I’ve been kept busy the past few months, but rest assured we’ve been out everyday having endless fun and making the most of ‘ summer ‘ 🌞
I always forget just how many photos I take until it comes to editing them down! I take around 1000 a month! and then I wonder why it takes so long to sort through them 🤣

⚠️Information for dog owners.

Unfortunately we have confirmed cases of Parvovirus local to Cockermouth and surrounding areas.

Parvo is a highly contagious virus causing bloody diarrhoea, vomiting and lethargy and sadly it can often be fatal despite intensive treatment.

Be assured if you come in yearly for booster vaccines, your dogs chance of contracting Parvo is minimal. Unvaccinated dogs, particularly puppies or older dogs, are most at risk.

If you are unsure of your dogs vaccination status (or have other questions), please contact us by EMAIL to [email protected] stating your name, address and pet name and we will advise you according to our records.

Something a little different to the usual doggies!

This week I had the pleasure of looking after this beautiful small holding for a lovely family. What a sweet little team they are, I could stay there all day. From milking a goat, playing tug of war with the pigs over a bag of feed & playing football with the pup, I was in my element.

Fun fact : The only new animal to me here were pigs! Having owned Pygmy goats, chickens, horses & of course doggies in the past!

It’s been lovely to have some sun and warmth back to our days and long may it last. I’ve been tempted to take a dip in the river myself at times.. and I think the universe had been listening when I took an unexpected tumble straight in last week. Note to self : those spare clothes I took out the van after not needing them for over a year… put them back in! 🙈😂

We’re slowly but surely waving goodbye to all the mud and hello to the brighter, milder days ☀️
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and are enjoying the longer days; summer is just around the corner! 🌺

🐾 Due to two of my doggies sadly relocating I now have spaces to welcome some new members to the team on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning
🐶 I also have 1 space available to welcome a new friend into our lunchtime walks
🏡 I am unfortunately no longer taking on any new clients for house sitting, however I still have plenty of space for current clients. ( April, June & August are looking full )
🐱 I have spaces available for holiday cat / small animal visits in the mornings and late afternoons

Please note I am unable to take on anymore solo walks at this time

A super informative day yesterday receiving my iPET network Level 3 Canine First Aid & CPR training. A great course run by the highly commended Canine First Aid Workshops - UK - Rachel Bean RVN in Keswick. It was interesting not just to be practical but to hear about her personal experiences and examples from 20+yrs of veterinary nurse experience, I could listen to them all day!
I think it’s so important to feel confident in your ability to perform first aid incase of emergencies, not just as dog professionals but as dog owners too, so it was great to practice dressing different types of wounds and perform CPR on the dog manikin.
I highly recommend all my dog owners to attend Rachel’s courses if you get the chance to do so, her knowledge and training truly is invaluable

I can’t quite put into words how incredible my little team has been to work with this year, a huge thank you to everyone for being the best pawrents ever 🐶
As we’ve approached Christmas I’ve been truly overwhelmed by the generosity and words of appreciation I’ve received from you all, it really does mean a lot to know just how much I help you all throughout the year , and know you can see just how much love I have for all your pups, aswell as how much they love all their adventures, it makes their cheeky days worth it! 😆🥰
I couldn’t have wished for a more successful 2023! And I can’t wait to see all my beautiful dogs again very soon… it’s only been three days and I already miss them all! 🐾

Here’s to a 2024 filled with happiness & fun ! 🥂

🎄Boxing Day Adventure Walk! 🎄🐾

An exciting one off Christmas special, a Boxing Day adventure!
I’ve been wondering for awhile how to spend Boxing Day, and decided a nice long walk in the lakes sounds like the perfect way, however some of you may know my own pup isn’t able to take long walks at the moment, and that’s when I thought, why not invite my second family to tag along!

Our adventure will include atleast 2-3 hours of walking time, in a chosen spot within the lakes, a little further from home than usual! Completed with a little Christmas gift from myself 🎁
Wether you have family visiting and don’t want to worry about them being pestered by the dog, or your heading out yourselves for the day, or you’d like to get your dog their own Christmas gift, this would be perfect!

Spaces are only open to my current clients who have already participated in group walks with me.

£40 per dog and 3-4 spaces available 🐾 Please just pop me a message to book in 📔 with few spaces available full payment is required to secure your pups space 🐶

All your beautiful pups certainly kept me on my toes throughout November, being out from dawn till dusk on many days!
Im always lucky to have such a fun team to keep me entertained throughout the day, and on the frosty days keep me warm just from watching them run around 🐾 I will admit I’ve often found myself running around too to keep warm! Although I never win any races 😆

We’ve been making the most of im sure some of the last dry days of the year over October, before we start to head into winter and get to make the most of the wet and muddy days… or atleast the dogs will anyway! My wellies have already made an early appearance 😆🥾
🎉 We do also have 1 or 2 midday group spaces available if your looking for your dog to join our lovely team over November 🐾
We are unfortunately full for solo walks 🐶 and only cover CA1 & some of CA2 🏠
