This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during October 2024.
We currently have 35 dogs in our care, 3 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We had one flight on 26 October for 8 dogs, 2 of which had homes in place and 6 went into UK foster. One of those dogs has now found his forever home. At the present time we have 6 dogs in UK foster 5 of whom are still available.
We have another flight on 1st December and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.
We donated 513 euros to help 3 dogs in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and we also donated £200 to the North Cyprus street dog neutering programme. In addition we paid a Cyprus vet bill which was 132 euros. We also donated £300 towards dog food costs for Paws 4 homes foundation and £250 to Irene Scott which was spent on kennels for the Gonyeli shelter.
We received £588 from Nicola’s fundraising events, £421 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £6020 from the Apollo autumn raffle, £15 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £145 from Lottie Long Legs, £150 from Jackson's book royalties, £49.18 from Paypal Giving Fund and £40 in general donations.
The monthly winner of our Pay it forward event who wins a pet portrait commission will be announced shortly.
We submitted our annual accounts to the charity commission in October and would like to express our gratitude to Hannah Collison for the huge amount of work she did for us compiling the accounts and also for kindly donating her accountancy fee back to Apollo's Angels.
The Apollo’s Angels xmas auction has now begun and we also have our 2025 calendar and Christmas cards available. Thank you for all the orders received so far, we are now in the process of posting them out.

This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during September 2024.
We currently have 25 dogs in our care, 5 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We had one flight on 15 Sept for 12 dogs, 4 of which had homes in place and 8 went into UK foster. Seven of those dogs have now found new homes and at the present time we have 2 dogs in UK foster both of whom are still available.
We have another flight on 27 October and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.
We donated £700 to help 5 dogs in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and we also donated £200 to the North Cyprus street dog neutering programme. In addition we paid our outstanding Cyprus kennel and vet bills the total amount of which was 14,062.50 euros.
We received £1017 from Nicola’s fundraising events, £240 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £60 from Tracey Sandford, £300 from Andy White, £500 from Jacqui McCormack’s employers charity trust, £10 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £100 from Margaret Cunningham in memory of her sister Jane MacLeod who sadly passed away recently, £1000 from Blake Minton, £100 from Jackie Wright, £300 from an anonymous donor, and £60 in general donations.
The monthly winner of our Pay it forward event who wins a pet portrait commission is Robert Price.

This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during August 2024.
We currently have 30 dogs in our care, 7 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We have one flight on 15 Sept for 12 dogs, 4 of which have homes in place and 8 will be going into foster. We currently have 3 dogs in UK foster two of whom are reserved and one is still looking for his forever home. One other dog in UK foster went to his new home in August.
We have another flight on 27 Oct and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.
We paid our Cyprus vet and kennel bills total amount 9442 euros.
We donated 725 euros to Paws 4 Homes Foundation Cyprus, £100 to Take Away The Tears and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered. We also donated 2 bags of Apollo dog food and various other items to a raffle in support of OSPA and Andros Animal Shelter Greece.
We received £1296 from Nicola’s fundraising events, £408 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £60 from Tracey Sandford, £100 from Andy White, £500 from Paul Pring, £377.48 from Easyfundraising, £50 from Daniella Gluck, £40 from Camille de Kok, and £20 in general donations.

We are currently in the process of compiling our 2025 calendar and it will go on sale in October together with a range of Christmas cards..

We currently have 33 dogs in our care, 4 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We have one flight on 4 Aug for 4 dogs 2 of which have homes in place and 2 will be going into foster. We currently have 2 dogs in UK foster and they are all still looking for forever homes. Two other dogs in UK foster went to their new homes in July.
We have another flight on 15 Sept and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.
We paid our Cyprus vet bill total amount 1381 euros and a UK vet bill of £345.14.
We donated £300 to help 2 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered.
We received £355 from Nicola’s fundraising event, £338 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £30 from Annabel Smith, £15 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £6292.62 from the Apollo summer auction, £125 from Lottie Long Legs, £300 from Michelle St John, £226.50 from Carol Parsons' plants sale and £40 in general donations.

This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during June 2024.
We currently have 35 dogs in our care, 2 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We had one flight on 30 June for 6 dogs 5 of which had homes in place and 1 went into foster. We currently have 4 dogs in UK foster and they are all still looking for forever homes. Four other dogs in UK foster went to their new homes in June.

We also helped with a blind GSP in mainland Greece, fully funded his travel costs to the UK and one of our previous adopters Caroline Gordon has offered him a home. He will be travelling over early July.

Our next flight is on 4 Aug and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.

We donated £100 to help 1 pointer in the care of another Cyprus based rescue organisation, and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered.

We received £120 from Nicola’s fundraising event, £297 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £20 from Jill Larcombe pub quiz, £40 from Geoff Diver, £15 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £1645 from the photo competition entry fees, £200 from the naming of Mia's pups sponsors, £800 from Caron Bunclark and Sovereign Estates marketing event, and £30 in general donations.

The monthly winner of our Pay it forward event who wins a pet portrait commission is Rachel Risely.

The Apollo summer auction has begun and will end on 14 July.

We received 329 entries in our photo competition and all the winning entries will be announced later this month. All the winners will feature in our 2025 calendar which will go on sale in October.

We had one flight on 19 May for 6 dogs 3 of which had homes in place and 3 went into foster. We currently have 6 dogs in UK foster at the moment and they are all still looking for forever homes. One other dog in UK foster went to his new home in May.
Our next flight is on 30 June and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.
We donated £200 to help 2 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered. We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet fees total amount of which was 1664 euros. We also donated £150 to Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus.
We received £982 from Nicola’s fundraising events, £431 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £100 from Jill Larcombe holiday cottage guests, £400 from Jackson book royalties, £5 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories £423.05 from Easyfundraising, £550 from the photo competition category judges, £2000 from the estate of the late Fiona Forbes, and £40 in general donations.

We had one flight on 7 April for 2 dogs both of which had homes in place. We currently have 4 dogs in UK foster at the moment and they are all still looking for forever homes. One other dog in UK foster went to her new home in April.
Our next flight is on 19 May for 5 dogs 3 of which have forever homes in place and the other 2 are going into UK foster.
We donated £650 to help 6 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered. We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet fees total amount of which was 1127 euros. We also donated £100 to Take Away The Tears to help with Abbi’s vet bills.
We received £568 from Nicola’s fundraising events, £360 from Jan’s Bonus Ball fundraisers, £100 from Lorraine Webb, £125 from Lottie Long Legs, £500 from Matt Brock, £10 from PayPal giving fund, £150 from Nia Rogers for donated meds, £55 from Lynn Taylor for donated meds, and £20 in general donations.

We had one flight on 3 March for 6 dogs four of which had homes in place. Two went into UK foster and they have both now been adopted by their foster families.. We currently have 4 dogs in UK foster at the moment and they are all still looking for forever homes. One other dog in UK foster went to his new home in March.
Our next flight is on 7 April for 2 dogs both of whom have forever homes in place.

We have one flight on 3 March for 6 dogs four of which have homes in place and two are going into UK foster. We currently have 6 dogs in UK foster at the moment, 2 of which are reserved.
We donated £150 to help 1 pointer in the care of another Cyprus based rescue organisation, and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered. We also donated £200 to Little Ranch Rescue, and paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel fees the total amount of which was 6515 euros. We also paid UK courier fees of £280.
We received £67.24 from Paypal giving fund, £245 from Jan’s bonus ball fundraisers, £45 from Nicola’s card sales, £10 from Lottie Long Legs, £4000 from Tracy’s Apollo unwanted gift auction, £290 from Martin Tilney’s last man standing football competition, £40 from Emily O’Shea, and £30 in general donations. £1609 was raised from Karen Greenhaff’s raffle which was forwarded to Anne Parsons for Ellie’s vet bills.

We have several new fabulous recipes that have been added to the Superfood 65 range today in addition to which there is a special promotion of £6 off all the Superfood prices until the end of July. We also still offer multi bag discounts across all the dog food ranges and free and fast delivery. We also have new labels for all the different recipes.

All the proceeds from the sale of the food goes to help rescue abused and abandoned pointers in Cyprus. We sold 64 tonnes last year to our hundreds of regular customers.

This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during October 2023.
We currently have 26 dogs in our care, one of which is reserved at the present time.
We had one flight on 8 October for 10 dogs, 3 of which had forever homes in place, and 7 went into into UK foster. Four of those dogs have now been rehomed and one is reserved subject to home check. One other dog in Uk foster was also rehomed.
Our next flight is on 12 Nov for 5 dogs all of which will be going into foster.
We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel bills total 8225 euros, we also donated £525 to help 5 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations. We also donated £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered.

This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during September 2023.
We currently have 32 dogs in our care, 3 of whom are reserved at the present time.
Our next flight is on 8 October for 10 dogs, 3 of which have forever homes in place, and 7 will be going into UK foster.
One dog we rehomed 4 years ago became available again due to his family’s change of circumstances and we have now moved him into a foster home. We currently have 4 dogs in UK foster. Two other dogs who were in UK foster moved to their forever homes in September.
We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel bills total 4592 euros, we also donated £400 to help 3 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations. We donated £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered. We also donated £100 to Great Bulls of China to thank them for giving us 19 travel crates.
During September we also received the sad news that one of our adopters, Fiona Forbes had passed away. Fiona lived alone and had adopted three dogs from us over the years. A friend was looking after one of her dogs and the other two dogs placed into kennels. A foster home for the two dogs in kennels was found and we arranged for a courier to collect and transport both dogs. Huge thank you to all our group members who helped out in various ways. Fiona’s friend asked if she could adopt the dog she was looking after and following a home check, that has now been approved.
We received £114 from Nicola’s card sales, £306.50 from Pam Morris, Sandi Dawkins and Jill Larcombe from Pam’s Happy Stitches online market stall, £438 from Jan’s bonus ball fundraisers, £300 from a group member who wished to remain anonymous, £75 from Karen Greenhaff fundraising events, £30 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £30 from Karan Phelps dog bed sales, and £45 in general donations.

The Apollo photo competition ended 31 July and we received a total of 613 entries. The winning photos will feature in our 2024 calendar which will go on sale in October along with 3 Christmas card designs
The monthly winner of our Pay It Forward event who wins a pet portrait from Art by Lottie is June Waring .
Apollo’s Angel Hugo and his lovely mum Vicky Etherington made an appearance on BBC Breakfast in August where they featured in a programme about adopting dogs from abroad and talked about the work of Apollo’s Angels in Cyprus.
