**AUTUMN RAFFLE**

Tickets will go on sale at the market on 19th September and be drawn on 31st October, where you will be able to collect an amazing hamper of produce from the traders at the Newcastle Emlyn Farmers Market.

All money raise it being donated to Little Green Pigeon. Many of you know Sue as she had a shop in Newcastle Emlyn and does an amazing job with not only the pigeons but with the other animal charites.

You will be able to buy tickets directly with Sue in the shop in Aberaeron or at the fortnightly market at Newcastle Emlyn Rugby Club. If you would however just like to donate also please get in touch.

Also if any shops in Newcastle Emlyn would like to be kind enough to put themselves forward to sell raffle tickets for this fantastic cause that would also be extremely welcomed.

So many reports today of sanctuaries in the UK with birds showing neurological issues.

It starts off looking a bit like paramyxovirus, but then just looks like muscle tremors, lethargy, some reporting vomiting, some green diarrhoea but not all.

Anorexia in some birds, but, not all, some have no interest in food but are able to eat, some want food but are unable to pick up the food.

We had a few birds like this after our coccidiosis outbreak, but thankfully now are main flock are okay. We have 5 in isolation like this though. It's so odd. Everyone I've spoken to saying they are just not sure what is going on, but Everyone loosing g birds to it. It's so sad! Have you got this in your flock at the moment? We have also see high amounts of tapeworm in our flock for the first time ever too!

Work has started at for the new aviaries!

I'm so thrilled for this collaboration between our two sanctuaries. Lisa is one of my best friends, we run together and talk daily, so for her and Paul at Duckingham to be taking over the pigeon sanctuary is just amazing, I know that all the birds will be in such good hands.

We will still be financially supporting all of the pigeons, including some of the flyers who are going to have a fabulous new life at the amazing thanks to their wonderful team.

We are sad to be saying goodbye to the fabulous Maria and Eddy at after they've so kindly hosted us for 10 months but it's time to rehome and start our next projects, banning pigeon racing and education people as to why we need to look after pigeons.

David from asked to interview me for their new series about vegan businesses and it was a pleasure!

We are a not for profit community interest company, which is similar to a charity BUT ALL the profit goes back into the CIC where as with a charity you can spend it on other things, that's part of the reason I went CIC. Plus there is less red tape to run a CIC meaning LGP keeps all of the money, we don't have to pay for meetings for trustees time etc

Ultimately, we are a business, so we run , charge, pay and account just like a normal business...the difference being that any profit goes to the sanctuary and no where else.
