🐸 Presenting this wonderfully distinguished individual - the Amazon milk frog (Trachycephalus resinifictrix) 🐸

This is the last one we have available at the moment, and while they’re perfectly happy living solo, they also do well in small groups with other similarly sized milk frogs.

As with all amphibians, these guys shouldn’t be handled with bare hands, as their delicate skin absorbs oils and chemicals from ours. It’s best to admire this fancy friend from afar! 🤩

Western Hognose Snake (Heterodon nasicus) 🐍

This particularly dramatic Hognose is showing off one of its signature moves - flattening its head and neck to look bigger and more intimidating! It’s usually a harmless bluff, part of their impressive defence display when they feel threatened.

Western Hognose snakes are one of the most popular beginner species thanks to their small size, quirky personalities, and upturned noses 🐷

However, they are they are mildly venomous! Being rear-fanged means they can’t deliver a significant dose of venom with a quick defensive bite, and they need time to chew in order to deliver their venom. Even so, always handle with care and respect 😌

Their venom is not dangerous to most humans, but it can cause swelling or allergic reactions.

Leopard geckos are one of the most popular pet reptiles for good reason - they’re hardy, friendly, and full of personality! 🤩

✅ Generally calm and rarely bite
✅ Thrive in more moderately sized enclosures than other popular pet reptiles
✅ Eat well on live insects
✅ Available in a range of beautiful colour morphs

⚠️ Nocturnal, so most active when the lights go out
⚠️ Need careful monitoring of temperatures and UVB to stay healthy (as with all reptiles)
⚠️ Can drop their tails if frightened (it grows back, but it’s never quite the same)

If you’re after a low maintenance reptile with loads of charm, leopard geckos might just be your perfect match! 🐆 🦎

This beautiful Amazon tree boa (Corallus hortulanus) is showing off after this morning’s enclosure spray 🌧️ 🐍

Maintaining the right humidity is a key element of keeping your reptiles correctly. Proper moisture levels help them shed cleanly, stay hydrated, and keep their skin and respiratory health in top condition. Too dry, and they can struggle to shed or become dehydrated. Too damp, and you risk mould or health issues.

Regular misting, a good hygrometer, and plenty of natural decor like moss and branches all help keep that balance just right 🌴
