🖤🎃Happy Halloween from all the team at Towy Vets🎃🖤
Seb joined the health pet club and saved 20% off his castration🐰
It is incredibly important for rabbits to eat after their operation so we strongly advise for you to bring in some of favourite fruit or vegetables along with them to encourage their appetite.
Seb was in for his operation yesterday and didn’t fancy his hay, so one of our nurses shared her strawberries with him and he thoroughly enjoyed them🍓🥰
At Towy Vets we LOVE Guinea pigs!😍They are super sociable little animals and many of our staff have their own at home. Yesterday we had 12 babies in for sex identification!😱 Guinea pigs can become parents themselves from 3 months old🍼👶, so it’s important to get them sexed and separated early. However guinea pigs should never be kept alone😢unless you can spend a lot of time with them. In Sweden🇸🇪 it is law🚓 to keep them in pairs or groups! They are naturally very vocal🎶 and use many different noises to communicate. This little chap was singing his heart out for us!💗 We’d love to see your guinea pigs in the comments!
When coming to Towy Vets for an operation we recommend your pets are starved from the previous night to avoid potential complications during surgery. These can include a twisted stomach and inhaling regurgitated food whilst unconscious. Once your pet is awake after surgery, our nurses and care assistants offer them food as soon as it is safe to do so. Not only will they be very hungry, they also need the nutrients to help the healing process ☺️. Bari was a very good boy for his procedure today, and surprised us all by wolfing down his meal after his mum said he was a fussy boy! 😅 There’s few things more rewarding than seeing a happy patient with a full tummy ❤️
