Sale of Market Hall Vets to Corporate Veterinary Services (CVS plc)

On the 19th February 2021, the partners sold Market Hall Vets to CVS plc.

In order to remain competitive and maintain the high level of service that all our clients have come to expect from us, the partners came to the decision to sell the practice.

The partners feel that CVS will offer the right balance to help take the practice forward and develop new and improved services, but still maintain a personal relationship with our clients. With centralised human resources, accounting, laboratory and management services, CVS will alleviate the pressure on our vets, making it easier for our vets and staff to attend to the needs of our clients and their animals.

David Staak and Alun Evans will lead the farm animal team and Kate Evans will head up the small animal team. Phillip Morgan will provide a supportive role for the foreseeable future.

The partners of Market Hall Vets would like to thank all their clients for their support over the years and they trust that the new company will continue to offer our clients a professional and caring service.

And meet the last (but not least) of our newest team members💉 ....

Gonçalo Sereno is a 24 years old Portuguese vet. Gonçalo graduated in 2020 from University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in Portugal. Gonçalo enjoys farm and equine practice with his main interests being equine internal medicine and farm animal internal medicine and surgery. On his free time he enjoys working out, trekking, visiting new places and going to music concerts. If you’re lucky enough you might be able to have him sing a few songs for you as Gonçalo is the lead singer of a band in Portugal called “Martim Zebra”! If you don’t know the meaning, then Google it or ask Gonçalo when he visits you at the farm!

Meet Harriet one of our two new vets💉....

Harriet qualified from the Royal Vet College in 2015 and spent her first few years in farm animal practice in South Wales. She then fulfilled her long held ambition of doing a calving season on New Zealand, which turned into an 18 month stay. After spending the summer working at home in Devon she finally made it back to Wales to join Market Hall in September.
Harriet enjoys all aspects of farm animal vetting but is particularly keen on youngstock management and infectious disease control. With her usual hobbies of travelling, following the Exeter Chiefs and socialising now largely off limits, recent free time has been spent baking, on home improvements and catering to every need of her rescue cats - all with varying degrees of success!

Don't forget to say hi! 👋
