Here at Alexs Pet Sitting, we take real pride in what we do - and we are really proud of where we live. This is why we were so saddened to hear about the devastating events at Kirkby Lonsdale the other night.

We are sending all of our love their way and hope that everyone is feeling the amazing love their community is showing. Its not what we need at this time of year, but the amazing reactions of everyone around reminds us what Christmas is all about - community, love and pulling together.

❤️We often only have one pair of hands

As much as we may wish otherwise, sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day.

❤️Location & Availability

We serve specific areas and have limited spaces, ensuring we’re close by and can reliably meet your schedule while maintaining high-quality care for each dog.

❤️Experience with Breed/Type

Different breeds and personalities require tailored handling. We assess our experience and knowledge to provide the right care for your dog’s unique needs.

❤️Compatibility & Chemistry

Like us, dogs have personalities that may click better with some people (and other dogs) than others. We look at compatibility to make sure your dog feels comfortable and happy in our care.

❤️Solo or Group Walks

Some dogs need solo attention, while others thrive in a group. We discuss options with you to match your dog’s preference and personality. But of course this assumes that we have capacity and availability to meet the requests for solo or group walks.

❤️On-Lead or Off-Lead

Safety is always our priority. For dogs with strong recall, off-lead time can be rewarding, while others may benefit from staying on-lead. Your dog’s training level and local rules guide our approach.

❤️Vaccination & Health

Many professional walkers require dogs to be up-to-date on vaccinations and parasite treatments. This keeps a healthy environment for every dog we care for, aligning with our policies and house rules.

❤️Neutering Requirement

For group walks, neutering may be a requirement to ensure harmony and minimise behavioural issues. Some dog walkers follow specific guidelines to make group outings enjoyable for everyone in their care.

Still having an amazing time out in Albania, Sarandë xx I still can't help myself when it comes to animals. Jake and I have been feeding all of the cats and dogs out here (being careful) and making sure they all get pets and love. ❤️🐶😺
