🐾 Monitor anaesthesia
🐾Assist in theatre
🐾 Suture wounds
🐾 Formulate nutritional plans
🐾 Formulate plans of care for our inpatients alongside the vet.

Last week we told you some of our team went to Birmingham as we have been shortlisted for a Quality Improvement award. We are soo happy to tell you WE WON!!!

So what have we improved?
☺️ Our nurses have undertaken additional certificates in dentistry, surgical nursing, anaesthesia and feline medicine to make sure your pets are getting the best care and to continue to learn new skills and techniques which are then passed onto the rest of the team.
☺️ We have put in place new cleaning protocols to reduce our impact on the environment whilst continuing to maintain high levels of hygiene.
☺️ We have invested in new equipment such as dental x-ray to ensure we can offer a comprehensive oral health assessment.
☺️ Changes to our theatre protocols ensuring our post operative complications stay below the country average.
☺️ We have upgraded equipment such as our dental equipment, anaesthetic monitoring equipment and laboratory diagnostic equipment to continue to make sure we are offering the best service.
☺️ Implementation of new antibiotic prescription protocols to comply with the One Health approach to battling antimicrobial resistance.

Quality Improvement is a constant crucial part of all health care and something we will continue to push within our practice.

Our best improvement yet....... that's still to come 🤫🤫🤫
