Lovely sleep stations off to their new homes….

We have 2 sizes available - the “Robbie” which is suitable for 1 chinchilla and the “Oliver” suitable for 2 chinchillas.

Made with 1” thick poplar wood they are perfect for heavy chewers and with no base they should last longer as they can’t go to the toilet in them!!!

**INFO POST**

Hello all you beautiful followers!!

We have been asked numerous times in the past to make a hay rack similar to this for inside cages….. and our answer has always and will always be NO!

Simple reason is - they are dangerous!
A chinchilla could chew through one of them dowels in a day or even a few hours if determine enough! This leaves a gap they could pop their head through and possibly get it stuck causing injury or worse!

The chewing could also lead to part of the dowel becoming pointy - just like they love to leave apple sticks! So again dangerous if chewed to nice point ready them to catch on or get stuck on! Dont even want to think the damage that could be done with them stressing out trying to release themselves!

Also after about a week it won’t hold hay after it’s been chewed away leaving them useless and basically an expensive chew!

We do not make anything we think could cause injury or worse and anything taller than around 12” high due to possible injury from falling / jumping off.

Always think of these things before making a purchase on any shop with “Chinchilla Safe” cause they just might not be

As most of you know we operate Pet Ledges UK part time - along with full time jobs and family it means almost working 16 hours a day!

In the last 5 days we have received nearly double the orders than we are able to dispatch! This is amazing but we need to have a little break - so we will not be taking orders for a few days to give us time to catch up and have a few days rest in a couple of weeks when all current orders and dispatched.

We will post an update when open again!

Extending dispatch times is an option - we think the current time of 15-18 working days is long enough for anyone to wait on their products - BUT - we might just have to!!!
