❄️Winter Hazards! ❄️

With the colder weather coming in it's important to stay aware of hazards for your pet this time of year.

❄️Grit/salt - this is scattered on the ground and can cause irritation to their paws which if ingested can lead to illness. You could invest in some booties to protect them or make sure you thoroughly wash their paws after.

❄️ Antifreeze - this is highly toxic to our pets and unfortunately is very palatable to them. If you believe your pet has ingested Antifreeze contact us immediately on 02893361800.

❄️ Darker weather - with the mornings and evenings getting darker it makes it harder to see our pets while out on walks. Using reflective clothing/collars or torches attached to their harnesses can make them more visible to yourself and others. In addition we would advise keeping cats inside overnight to prevent any road accidents.

❄️ Hypothermia risk - dogs may have outdoor kennels and likewise you may keep small furries like rabbits and guinea pigs outside. Their homes need to be reinforced to keep the heat in and prevent Hypothermia. Below is a helpful link on how to keep your bunnies warm in winter: https://www.bluecross.org.uk/advice/rabbit/wellbeing-and-care/looking-after-your-rabbit-in-winter

As always we are available for any questions or issues you may have with your pet through the winter months. Give us a call on 02893361800 if you have any issues! β˜ƒοΈβ˜ƒοΈ

Did you know October is pain awareness month?? 🀯🀯

For the rest of October we are offering clients the chance to try out an injectable arthritis medication for FREE*!!!

Arthritis is a condition that leads to pain and progressive degeneration of the joints. Signs are often subtle and many pets go undiagnosed πŸ˜₯

Librela and Solensia are injectable medications given to dogs and cats to alleviate osteoarthritis pain for up to one month. It functions like naturally occurring antibodies targeting and neutralising a protein which stimulates pain in patients with arthritis.

We have many patients who regularly use these medications and have noticed a massive difference!

If you are interested in trialling this medication for FREE give us a call on 02893361800 to get booked in for a consultation to discuss it's benefits! 🐢🐱

*This offer is only available for uninsured clients who have not tried this medication before*
