Thank you so much for all the Christmas gifts and tips and a huge thank you for another year! Hard to believe Teddy’s Cuts turned 5 in September, time has absolutely flown in 😱
Coming to the end of the year I’d just like to remember those pups we’ve lost, as I’ve had quite a few clients pups cross over rainbow bridge this year🌈🥺They will always be missed and it’s a privilege to have had the chance to work with them ❤️

I’ll see you all in 2024, enjoy your Christmas!🥳

✂️🐾POLICY REMINDERS🐾✂️

As it’s coming to the busiest time of the year, just a reminder for everyone on salon policies. I’ll be popping a condensed version on reminder messages too 🐶

❌Cancellations❌
Cancellations made with less than 24hrs notice or a no show will require the full price of the groom to be paid by Friday of that week.
If unpaid, all future appointments will be cancelled.
I hate charging charging fees but when clients don’t show up or give me very little notice, I don’t get paid. This adds up quickly even if it happens even a couple of times a week, so to keep the doors open I need to have this in place, especially when the space could be filled 10 times over from the cancellation list🙈

❌Late arrival and drop off❌
Please arrive on time for drop off and collection. 15 minutes is the cut off for late arrival, any later and your appointment will have to be rescheduled, it is then treated as a last minute cancellation and will be charged.
I work a 1-1 basis and do not have the facility to hold pets beyond their appointment slot. This is unfair on the next client arriving for their appointment while another dog is still in my care. I also groom some very nervous/reactive dogs that simply cannot be in the salon with another dog, there have been times when I’ve had to ask these clients to wait for over half an hour due to late pick ups which just isn’t fair on them or me.
Late collection is charged at £5 per 15mins past the collection time.

❌Fleas❌
Please do not bring your dog to their appointment if you know they have fleas
If fleas are found during the groom, there will be a charge of £15-30 as I will have to clean and fumigate the salon as well as cancel the entire day, then find somewhere to reschedule the day which you can imagine is a nightmare if your dog is first in 🙈

❌Matting/overgrown coats❌
Matted/overgrown coats will incur an additional charge of £5-15 depending on severity. This is due to the additional work, product needed and damage caused to equipment.

❌Pre appointment❌
🔴Please ensure your dog has had chance to go to the toilet before the groom so they are comfortable and aren’t having to be bathed again due to accidents
🔴Please make me aware of any recent injuries or illnesses at drop off
I cannot groom:
Dogs that are or may be pregnant
Dogs that have stitches from surgery
Dogs with kennel cough
Dogs experiencing vomiting/diarrhoea
Dogs with contagious skin complaints
Dogs with open wounds/infections

That’s the salon open again after our rainy week off ☔️ the rain also meant my charity skydive had to be postponed but don’t worry you’ll still get to see it, it’s in for the 30th July!🙈😂

Not my usual dog related post but a topic I’m sure a lot of us can relate to and something very close to my heart!

Today is the start of mental health awareness week, to support the Mental Health Foundation this year I’ll be fundraising and throwing myself out of a plane to complete my first ever skydive on the 15th July😱🪂

If any of you would like to donate to this amazing cause, it would be hugely appreciated and can be done by clicking the JustGiving link below which has a little bit about my story in there too🥰

The mental health foundation are the home of mental health awareness week and their donations go towards funding vital research into tackling mental health issues.
