The Proper Pet Co was set up in October 2013 by life long friends Mark Derby, his sister Nicky Smith and Brothers Martyn and Greg Jessop.
Nicky, Greg, Martyn and Mark had grown up together as their Fathers had been best friends since the 1950’s.
Countless holidays together over the years and Saturday nights at one or others houses ensured they all grew up together considering themselves family more than friends
They had always had a dream to bring a pet shop back to serve the people of Castle Cary and its surrounding areas and the opportunity arose in 2013
