Trip to Pontispool today for our 2 hunter trial. The weather was hideous, and I very nearly turned around when the hard rain got even harder! But I carried on as it's only water!!! Very pleased I did as the rain slowed and Otis did a very pleasing clear round. So much more confident than last time, a couple of green moments, but the improvement was massive.
Good boy Otis, as always. 😀

All this circle work - what is the world coming to? 🤣

Sunday Otis did some really pleasing work at the Kings Sedgemoor Equestrian Centre unaffiliated dressage summer Championships to finish 2nd in the Prelim champs with a brilliant score of 71.25% which was just .21% behind the winner!

I’m delighted with how he went for a young horse on a windy day, dealing with the spooky sparrow bush too 🤣

Otis did his 1st hunter trial! Wasn't the prettiest at times, but we got round clear, which was the aim. The results say we were eliminated, but that was intentional as Otis had a little confidence blip at the hay wagon, so at the next fence, which was the last and quite big I decided to jump the 70cm option as wanted to end on a good happy note. Lots learnt by us both and we're looking forward to the next one. 😀
