Last competition for 2025 and actually competitions on the same day. Dressage to start, and a win with an amazing score of 74.583. Then a really pleasing clear round in the arena eventing to finish just outside the placings. A massive thank you to everyone who has helped get Otis and I to where we are today. But the biggest thanks goes to Otis for just being Otis! Upwards and onwards in 2026...... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

The ever popular padded headcollar. Here's one in dark havana that left as a present for someone.

A good headcollar made from quality leather will, sadly, often out live the horse it was bought for. I see lots of these in for repair and 95% of the time these are all highly preventable. Remember to look after your headcollars the same way you would your bridles and you'll go a long way to keeping them lasting for decades.

Wipe them down weekly โ€“ even a quick once-over removes the dirt and dust that can dry the leather.

A good quality gentle leather cleaner keeps the fibres healthy. Avoid anything with harsh chemicals that can strip natural oils.

Feed the leather with a good quality conditioner when it starts to feel dry. A light application is better than over-oiling, which can weaken stitching.
