With over 20 years in the equine industry, I'm a British Horse Society Accredited Professional Coach, experienced in coaching riders of all ages and abilities and managing equestrian centres. At Little Hooves, we unite ponies and people, fostering

compassionate communication and mutual understanding. Our passion lies in nurturing relationships built on respect, kindness, and understanding, ensuring both humans and ponies enjoy each other's company. We provide instruction in riding, stable management, pony care, and horsemanship. Our sessions are engaging, educational, and hands-on with our ponies. As a Pony Club Linked Centre, children can earn official Pony Club Achievement Badges and awards. We pride ourselves on our fun, interactive, and structured learning environment, using diverse teaching methods to cover topics from grooming to horse anatomy. Our sessions blend practical pony care with theoretical activities, incorporating worksheets, arts and crafts, and games to enhance learning.

Pony Club Practicals/Volunteer Training

January 21st and 30th
4.45-6.15pm
£10 per person

On the yard training and learning. The only way to get accomplished is ........PRACTISE!

A full stable yard session practising all the things our ponies need on a daily basis on the yard, consolidating our keen Pony Clubbers current knowledge and adding to it!

This session will also facilitate our Volunteer training. Essential training for those who would love to join our Volunteer scheme in the future.

Suitable for all children with a love for horses, those who are part of The Pony Club and those thinking of joining Pony Club or who would like to ultimately join our volunteer scheme.

Each participant will get their very own Progress Chart, signed off by an Instructor as they achieve each skill set.

Pony Pamper Glitter Evening!

16th January 4.45-6.15pm @ £10

Pamper your pony with washing, grooming, and more! This session includes pony paints, glitter hoof oil and glitter hair gel. What a wonderful way to spend a gloomy winters afterschool evening!

These sessions are always popular! For all the children who love to sparkle! 🤩

Bonus Badge Nights give our Pony Club Members the opportunity to earn EXTRA badges along the way!

On January 7th, we will be completing Horse Clothing! Learn about rugs, boots, leg bandages and tail bandages and how to apply them.

It's the perfect time of the year for this badge......Brrrrrr!!

Please note - these sessions are open to PC members and non-members, however, badges can only be achieved by PC members.

**Saturday grooms position available**

We have a current grooms vacancy on Saturdays to join our small team.

We are happy to consider younger members of the team.

Must be sensible, confident and keen with adequate equine knowledge and practical skills.

Skill set should include tacking up, leading, rugging and picking out feet as an absolute minimum.

All general yard duties & loving on our ponies will be required!

Saturdays 8-4pm or 8-5pm.

🐴**IN SEARCH OF OUR NEXT LITTLE HOOVES PONY!**🐴

We are now on the hunt for a ‘Unicorn’ 🦄 to join our team!

We are looking for predominantly a lead rein pony who is happy to participate in grooming and being pampered by our wonderful children.

Pony should be 11hh-13hh ish. Age/looks etc immaterial as long as they are happy to do our job.

Pony should be happy and sensible to walk out hacking or spend some time doing slow steady work in the arena.

Looking for -
11-13hh ish.
Lead rein.
Happy to be fussed and groomed and take part in Pony Club badge sessions.

If they are also first ridden and sensible to help children learn on the lunge, even better, but we really are open to options.

Required for a November start.

Please do get in touch if you have/know of something suitable.

Ideally loan or LWVTB but we are happy to consider options.

In our ‘renamed’ Pony Care Club (previously Horsemanship Huddle), on Thursday, we taught the girls the beginnings of lunging and long reining. The girls did brilliantly and Fred, as usual, was a total 🌟!!

Sleeping!

Giving the horses somewhere soft to lay now the ground has gone rock hard is really important. They must lay down each day to have their REM sleep and stay healthy and well. Here is Dudley and Alice taking advantage of laying on the soft pile of hay before they eat it! Hocas didn’t get the memo and is trying to eat around them!!! 🤣
