This is how we 'roll' at Woofers...New boy Joey...First ever groom
Meet Rusty. Rusty is not very brave. When he first came to me he cried constantly. When he wasn't crying he was plastered to the floor. Over the last year I have worked with Rusty to build his confidence. Today he stood...yes...honest...for his whole groom. We has abit of whining but he got himself on and off the table and in and out of the bath. He also stood while I blow dried him.
Well done Rusty.
Grooming the big fluffy woofers.
Top tip...before brushing, give them a blast with a warm hairdryer to loosen the coat.
Maisie nose trim.
This is my poster girl Maisie. Building trust each groom. I love her to bits.
I have hold of her ears to keep them out of the way. I can feel the tension in her neck increase, so I give her a little massage until she relaxes and then continue triming her face. Even though her growls are not empty threats I try not to move away from her but rather keep still and make sure I'm not tense.
I did muzzle Maisie for the rest of her groom.
Reactive dogs are welcome at Woofers. Please call me.
