Client Notice
We are currently experiencing technical issues with our operating system, thus meaning we have no access to our computers. Of course, we are here for emergencies, our phone lines are still active. Please bare with us during this time, we will update you as soon as we are back up and running! Many apologies for any inconvenience the may cause.
Good morning.
We have had a cat handed into us today that was found in the Station Road area of Warboys. The cat is a black and white female, sadly no chip and does not have a collar. If you are the owner, or you know the owner please contact the clinic urgently.
Good morning everyone!
We are pleased to announce that our phone line has been restored and should now be working as usual. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by the fault last night, but thank those who brought it to our attention.
As always, our contact number is: 01354694794.
Kind regards,
Triovet🐶
Good evening,
It has come to our attention that our phone line is currently not working.
In light of this, for anyone requiring urgent medical attention for their pet please find our emergency number here:
07401265882
This number puts you in direct contact with our on call vet, but should only be used in cases of an emergency.
In the meantime, we are working hard to fix the phone line and hope to have it restored shortly.
Many thanks for your understanding,
The Triovet team🐶
Good afternoon. We have had a lovely terrier type dog handed into us at the practice. She was found near Newlands in Chatteris. Sadly this is the result of not having dogs and now cats, microchipped. We are completely unable to reunite this pooch with their owner!!
If you are the owner, we will not be able to release the dog without placing a chip. You will need to bring proof of ownership which can be pictures or any kind of paperwork. Please share and hopefully we can get this doggo home soon!!
JOB VACANCY
The Triovet team is expanding again!
We are looking for a qualified veterinary nurse to join us here in clinic.
Please contact us on [email protected] for full job details and description!!
Good morning everyone!
Just a quick note to remind everyone that when attending the clinic DOGS MUST BE ON A SECURE LEAD AND CATS MUST BE IN CARRIERS.
This is for your pets safety, and for this reason only.
No matter how well behaved your pet is, not all others are and animals can be unpredictable.
Thank you ☺️
Triovet
We have been out in an attempt to retrieve the injured cat that was hit by a car this morning. We have had a distant sighting of little one but it had managed to move from that area by the time we got there. Several people have been to see if they can get him/her, some getting bitten unfortunately. The kindness and effort people are showing is amazing and we appreciate you all.
The best way to proceed with any attempt of catching this poor little soul is to be well prepared. The area he/she is in is dense with nettles and brambles, flooded regions and surrounded by fences and building sites.
PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH THIS CAT UNLESS YOU HAVE A CARRIER TO HAND AND SOME PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
This is for your own safety and to ensure that if anyone does get close enough they can pick him/her up and safely get out of the area.
The last thing we want at this stage is for more people to get injured and for the cat to be driven further away from reach.
Good luck everyone!
We can do this 🙏🏻
Good morning!
Our operating system is being changed today and this means we have very limited access to appointments/accounts so if you do call, please bear with us while we navigate around our computers. Of course, if you need us urgently we will still see you. If you need to contact us and your reason for calling is not urgent, we politely request that you call us back this afternoon when we will be up and running again!
With Spring underway and summer close behind it, here's a few things to look out for!
During their daily walks or even in the safety of our back gardens, pets may come across various potential hazards. These hazards range from seemingly innocuous plant bulbs and flowers to commonly used garden substances such as fertilisers, w**d killers, and slug pellets.
Spring bulbs and flowers – dogs are more prone to being affected by plant bulbs such as daffodils and tulips, as they tend to dig them up and try to eat them. Whilst it’s advisable to keep cats away from lilies, which are highly toxic to them. Symptoms of poisoning include red gums, drooling, upset stomach, unsteady movements, fatigue, and collapsing.
Slug pellets – used to control slugs and snails in gardens, they can be toxic to pets, particularly dogs. Some pellets are generally safe to use, but those containing the highly toxic substance metaldehyde, can cause significant poisoning even in small amounts. Symptoms of poisoning include wobbling, lack of coordination, tremors, and seizures.
Plus, let’s not forget there are many other year-round risks, including those posed by chocolate, dried fruit, and food products containing the sweetener xylitol.
If you are concerned your pets have been exposed to the above, we are here, day and night, 365 days a year, please do call us immediately on 01354 694794
And……….. GO!!!!
Our beautiful Maxie underwent the initial part of her treatment today.
The damage was far worse than we imagined. Today she gained her wings and was set free of her pain.
We are grieving as a team and as humans that loved her, as are the angels that hoped they could fix her.
Sleep tight little girl. You deserved to live forever. 💔
Update on “Maxie”
We have been expressing her bladder for her since she was brought into us. We as a team had serious concerns regarding permanent nerve damage that often happen with pelvic and spinal injuries. Mostly this is irreversible.
This morning, she urinated without assistance.
Never have we been so pleased to see a wee!
With this breakthrough and massive step in the right direction, we have sourced a specialist surgeon who is willing to help her.
So with tears in my eyes, some of joy and some of sadness as we have come to love her, I have transported her to receive the surgery that she needs. It was a hard kiss goodbye, but I know that she will fight as hard as she can, as will the team she is now with.
Good luck our sweet girl. You’ve got this.
❤️
Good afternoon all, Lauren here.
There has been a lot of mentions on social media regarding the cat that was handed in as an injured stray yesterday, and I would like to clarify a few things.
We constantly rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals, putting them first, always at our own cost. Many of them remain with us as our pets who we love and cherish.
The little girl that so many speak of, is being treated and loved dearly by us, the Triovet family, now her family. Her treatment has had no donations and we do not ask for them. The issue at the heart of this case, is that this little girl who we all adore, has a crushed pelvis. She requires vast and invasive specialist orthopaedic surgery that only a referral clinic will be able to do.
It is not a case of us not wanting to help her, and there is no compassion lacking here, nor was there during the entire night we spent loving her. We will hold onto her in the hope she has an owner who will be able to take her for referral, but we will not ask her to battle in a war she cannot win, and this simply is not morally correct.
Please be assured we love, we hope, we try and I promise you we will break should she have to leave this world. It will be us that cradle her, and kiss her goodbye, and think of her for the rest of our days.
February is Pet Dental Health Month!
There are many reasons why a dental condition may develop in your pets. One of the most common causes of dental issues is when bacteria and food particles collect along the gingiva (the gum line). This can develop into plaque which then hardens into tartar. This causes irritation and inflammation in the gingiva and surrounding areas, also known as gingivitis. Usually, this is the first stage of gum disease.
Dental problems are one of the most common ailments of pets. It is estimated that 80% of cats and dogs over the age of three years old will show some signs of dental disease. This is why Pet Dental Health Month is so important as preventing this is a great way of keeping your pets healthy.
Hello everyone!
Just like most veterinary practices, we offer a Pet Health Club. You can find information for this either in practice or by clicking the link below. Of course, should you wish to speak to us, we'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

Have a great Wednesday! Keep your eyes peeled as coming up next month is National Dental Awareness Month!
Welcome to our Pet Care Plan. A great way to spread the cost of your pet’s treatments and give them the preventative healthcare they deserve.
Good afternoon!
With the festivities fast approaching, it’s always a good idea to be vigilant on what we feed our pets.
We know everyone deserves a treat, so let’s make sure we do it safely.
As always, if your pet(s) have ingested something they shouldn’t, even if it’s by accident, we’re always here, night and day.
Good morning,
We just wanted to make everyone aware ahead of the weekend that the Christmas lights will affect your journey to us. The main high street of Chatteris will be closed from the garage through to our Practice. This means you will have to come from the Apple Green junction by Rumbles. Usually our entrance is kept clear, but if for any reason you have trouble accessing just make a steward aware.
We hope you enjoy your weekend and the switch on!

Afternoon everyone!
Yesterday we had the lovely Snow with us for an emergency c-section. Her labour had started at home but unfortunately nothing much was happening so her owner rightfully got in touch with us. We suggested she bring her right away and it was agreed we would need to perform the Caesarian section to help Snow along!
Welcome to the world little ones and happy birthday!!
4 beautiful Malamute puppies!
Snow and her new babies went home a little later and are doing well!
Today is national Thankful for my Dog Day!!
We’d love to see some photos of your furry best friends, perhaps with a little story of why you’re thankful to have them in your life!
Good afternoon,
The Triovet team would like to announce the Christmas hours for this year so we can all prepare for the busy period ahead.
As always our emergency services are available on the days we are closed, and outside of the times provided.
We look forward to seeing you all in the run up to Christmas. Pets In Christmas jumpers welcome (better if they’re matching with their owner😂).
