We are very excited to announce that our brand new website has launched this week 🚀 This is something we’ve been wanting to do for a while, we hope you all love it as much as we do!!

👀🫁You, like me, probably perform intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV) on your patients fairly often when on an anaesthesia shift…..

✅ When a patient has post induction apnoea
✅ If they are hypoventilating
✅ To correct hypercapnia

However, we can, without meaning to cause barotrauma (lung damage) if we over inflate their lungs.

🥳The good news is there are these in-line pressure manometers which help you to measure the inspiratory pressure when manually performing IPPV.

🫁 👀 Observe the inspiratory pressure as you inflate their lungs and watch their thorax.

I also like to use the inline manometers when I’m setting up and leak testing my breathing system as it shows pressures are maintained within the system and that there is no leak.

Recently we were contacted by the lovely team at 🫏 asking if they could purchase some Ocular Lavage kits for the poor donkeys in Egypt working in the brick kilns ❤️‍🩹💝

After hearing their story and about how desperate the situation is out there we worked with .us to supply some of the kits free of charge and some at cost price. We also had some clip applicators that we no longer needed so have popped them in too 💉🩺

These will be heading over to Egypt to help the donkeys in the new year ✈️🐪

Brrr it’s been getting chilly lately 🥶

We’ve been having a sort out of stock and last week we donated a box full of patient warming blankets to the RSPCA. If you can help in any way, check out their page to donate now.

We’ve had a very exciting delivery recently.. a shiny new container to store even more of the products you all love! 😍

Our lovely little office has been bursting at the seams for a while, but finally we have an area for our bigger and bulkier items to live.

Earlier this week we had the pleasure of visiting Bristol Vet Specialists beautiful brand new state-of-the-art hospital and having a sneak peak before it opens on Monday! 😍

We hand delivered their opening order and had the privilege of being given a tour by the lovely Natasha (hospital manager) and Delphine (clinical director).

It is so beautifully designed, we can’t wait to go back and see it again with patients receiving the best care possible.

PHARMACY & INVENTORY ASSISTANT

The Ralph is a large independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre in Marlow, southeast of England. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional, compassionate care for dogs and cats. Our dedicated and passionate team continually delivers the best treatment and support for our patients and their families. We are currently expanding our team and are on the lookout for an equally dedicated Pharmacy and Inventory Assistant.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist our Pharmacy and Inventory Lead in the management of our pharmacy's daily operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of pharmaceutical and other supplies and consumables, ensuring stock is always well-stocked and replenished.
- Assist with the placement, receiving, and organisation of drug and other inventory orders.
- Ensure that all inventory is properly labelled, stored, and disposed of as required.
- Work closely with our large team of veterinary surgeons and nurses to ensure that prescribed medications are prepared accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with pet carers about their pet’s medication as necessary.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of inventory records.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines and regulations.

In addition to our Pharmacy and Inventory Lead, you will work closely with our Clinical Operations Manager, Assistant Clinical Director, and Clinical Operations Assistants, among others.

**Qualifications:**

- Already being a Companion Animal Suitably Qualified Person (C-SQP) or having a similar qualification is desirable but not essential
- Prior experience in the veterinary or another healthcare sector is a plus
- Prior experience in pharmacy or inventory management is a plus
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their wellbeing

The Ralph is a large independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre in the southeast of England. As we continue our journey to no longer being a ‘start-up’, we are looking to expand our team of CLINICAL OPERATIONS ASSISTANTS.

**Role on offer:**

The role will include but not be limited to the following:

~ Inpatient pricing and helping to evolve our pricing practices.
~ Responding to carer concerns about their pet’s care at and the service they received from The Ralph.
~ Supporting our new Nurse & Patient Care Assistant Team Manager in ensuring rota coverage.
~ Providing essential administrative and operational help to the clinical team so they can focus on patient care.

You will be joining our existing team of four Clinical Operations Assistants who will provide you with full training and support. You will work closely with our Clinical Operations Manager, Clinical Director (Founder, CEO), Assistant Clinical Director, and Finance Team, among others.

Other information:

~ We would prefer full-time, yet we are open to part-time applicants.
~ You must be able to work remotely for a few hours on Saturday as part of a shared rota (likely 1:5 Saturdays).
~ The role includes some time working from home.

Clinical knowledge is valuable for this role which is best suited to experienced RVNs.
