🌟 MEET THE TEAM MONDAY 🌟
We are so excited to introduce our new Vet Tech, Holly!
Holly grew up on her family’s dairy farm and in 2021 she completed her Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship at Lackham College. Whilst completing this course she was a Calf Rearer at a local farm for 3 years. Holly then went on to a became a Herdsperson for 2 years at another dairy farm to gain more experience.
When not working or looking after her sheep and cattle at home you may also find Holly at young farmers events and socialising with her friends in the pub.
Holly is currently shadowing Lauren and as she’s already competent with many aspects of the job we are sure it will be a smooth transition.

The recent bouts of warm yet wet weather makes for conditions in which worms flourish. While it is unusual to have cases of lungworm present so soon, a reflection of on-going climate issues means Lungworm has already been diagnosed in cattle in Somerset. Farmers are advised to remain vigilant and consider whether it could be lungworm in cases of coughing animals. We are able to test for lungworm on faecal samples. Of course we are always happy to advise regarding treatments too, so please get in touch if you have any queries.
