To save some people a trip, what with Christmas and New Year, I've run my reserves of bluebottles down so I don't have any available for customers at the mo. I'll be getting maggots and starting up again in the next few weeks.

I have curly wings and fruit flies, plus the usual locusts and crickets available in store though. 😊

Don't know why I do this to myself! Got a new many legged creature in.... yay! 🤨 Meet the Thai Red Dragon centipede (Scolopendra dehaani). I had the joy of rehousing this little beast this afternoon.

Even I have to admit, it is stunning to look at, but certainly not one for the faint of heart and only for experienced keepers over the age of 18.

Thank you so much for supporting my little shop throughout the year, we never thought it would do as well as it has.

We are open today 10-2pm (the whole garden centre site closes down at 2pm). We are very short on livefood, so please hurry if you need something and hopefully we can sort something out for you. 😊

New livefood will be in The Reptile Hut on Friday 29th. The Bug Hut will reopen on Saturday 30th.

I have a beautiful taxidermied Asian Forest scorpion in the shop. Done by myself, this scorpion died of natural causes. This would make a great addition to someone's taxidermy/pinned invert collection. Only 1 available at the minute.

How cute is this little girls 'baked bean' face! 😂 I have 2 of these thorny crickets in the shop, this little girl and a slightly smaller boy. They make a quirky little pet to keep. They like some fruit and veg plus their bugs. They do need to be kept warm and fairly humid too.

Funnily enough she used to belong to me a good few years ago, I sold her to a friend for breeding purposes, the male then died and they're now thinning out their collection, so here she is again. She is stunning and has a little bit more character than a usual Chile adult! 😂

OK guys, I need some name help. I just added another little Apalachicola jumper to my collection....look how beautiful she is 🥰.....and I need some name ideas. It needs to be along the "cola/fizzy drink" theme, I already have Soda-Pop, Sprite and Pepsi.
