Pet loss is a very tough thing to experience and those that have been through it will no doubt agree. I hope that sharing this beautiful review will raise awareness of the services Sarah and I offer and help others to experience pet loss with dignity, care and love ❤️

Sarah and I aim to create the painfully perfect goodbye, allowing you the time you need, in a location of your choice, giving you the reassurance and comfort that yyour beloved pet is receiving the very best care at the end of their life.

As pet owners ourselves we understand the unique bond created and the positive impact they have on our lives. They are our everyday and the pain of their loss is a direct reflection of bond we share.

Sarah at Paws To Sleep is a wonderful human and it’s a pleasure to be able to work alongside her in supporting pets and their owners. Sarah’s details can be found on the post and I’d encourage anyone that is preparing to say goodbye to reach out to her and start a conversation 🙏🏻

Thank you to Jane, Mike and Tilly for taking the time to write such kind words and share beautiful photos, and for trusting us to care for them at such a difficult time ❤️

He may be banned, have no concept of personal space and an IQ in single figures… but he is such a sweetheart and makes me proud everyday ❤️

Both Sarah Paws To Sleep and myself feel incredibly fortunate to support both wonderful pets and their owners. To receive such a wonderful review is testament to the care, dedication and love we give each and every customer we support.

The reality of pet loss is incredibly tough and it’s not uncommon for customers to describe their loss as greater than that of losing their parents, such is the pain of saying goodbye to their companion.

We know it’s hard to talk about, but what if you did everything you could at the end of their life and found out that pet loss can be painfully perfect? The pain is a direct reflection of the love, bond and impact our pets have on our lives and we don’t want to take that away from you. The reality is that saying goodbye to your pet in the comfort of your own home, a place they feel safe, a place filled with love makes a huge difference to the experience, allowing you to be you on such a difficult day. I’ve walked into a veterinary reception having said goodbye to my wonderful English Bull Terrier (Cola) and the tears, snot and shocked look in the faces of those in the reception will stay with me forever. It’s certainly something I will never do again and I believe this made my journey through the grief far more difficult than it needed to be. I don’t know of anyone, or anything that wouldn’t want to be surrounded by those they love, and those that love them, in a safe, familiar place when they take their last breath.

Our aim is not to tell people what to do, but to raise awareness of the choices they have. It’s your pet and therefore it’s your choice as to what you do when the time comes to say goodbye. Yes, it’s more expensive to have a home euthanasia, but it’s a fraction of the cost of pet ownership and is absolutely the right choice, given their unconditional love for us during their short lives.

The service Sarah offers is nothing ishort of amazing. We have worked alongside each other for over two years, and each and every time I see the care, support and love she gives to her customers, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to compliment her service through Atypical Pet Crematorium and to continue the great care that both Sarah and the owners have given throughout the pets life ❤️

It’s the last thing we do for our pets, and I wouldn’t want anything less for my big baby Bruce when the time comes. If you have a pet, or have a relationship with someone that does, all I ask is that you start the conversation about choice ❤️

These are the beautiful new urns Matt and I have collaborated on ❤️.

Matt has been incredibly supportive of my vision since I began, and with him recently taking the plunge and following his passion, I feel very lucky to be part of his journey and believe we will be working together for many many years to come 🙏🏻

We are currently trialling some wonderful new colours to reflect the joy our pets bring us and I can’t wait to share these images once they have been fired 🤩

Ashley at Atypical Pet Crematorium and I recently received this lovely testimonial from C&A near Monmouth and this super-gorgeous photo.

"Dear Sarah and Ashley
It’s two weeks now since we lost Archie and this is still a very hard email to write but it’s also a very necessary one, because the work you both do is so valuable. You make the unbearable bearable.
Archie was a pretty typical rescue collie – hyper-anxious, hyper-suspicious, hyper-alert. We always knew that, when the end came, we couldn’t take him in to our vet (however lovely she might be) because his stress levels would have gone off the charts. He would have fought death just as hard as he’d fought so much of his early life. So, to have him safe at home in his favourite bed, his head on our knees, so carefully and compassionately sedated, just able to relax and slowly, gently drift away – well, it was as good as it can be. It was the last gift we could give him and you both made it possible. You are very special people and we count ourselves lucky to have come across you when we did; as lucky as we were when we first came across Archie.
To anyone reading this who might be in any doubts about calling on Sarah’s service, don’t be: she is exceptional. Her kindness and gentleness with Archie made all the difference – to him and to us.
Look after yourselves – the work you both do must come at a considerable emotional cost and is all the more precious for that.
With love and thanks
C&A"

My world revolves around these two ❤️

This picture for me, is what dog ownership is about…. They are part of the family and as such they should be involved like a member of the family. These two advocate for each other, Jude learns how to behave around dogs and what not to do, and Bruce shows those who believe xl bully’s are all killers, that when raised correctly they can be great family pets.

All dogs have the potential to cause harm and much like car insurance, the bigger the risk the more responsibility should be shown and the greater the cost. Personally I believe that those that claim xl bully’s are big softie’s give people unrealistic expectations of the breed. I can assure you that if someone broke into my home, Bruce would be anything other than friendly; but he is also a big baby with his people and that’s ok for me. I grew up with a beautiful German shepherd named Rocky, who would have given his life to protect our family, he was a huge part of my childhood and Bruce is Jude’s Rocky to me ❤️.

I’m not saying that all xl bully’s behave like Bruce, but if you’re mixing guardian breeds with high prey drive breeds, let’s not expect a Laborador 🤔. But all our pets are unique and that’s what makes each and everyone so special ❤️

Let’s be honest….. no one wants to talk about their pet passing and I completely understand this. It’s incredibly hard to contemplate that your best mate is nearing the end of their life 💔

I think that those that I have had the pleasure of supporting would agree, that the location, decor and general feel of is different to their expectations. I named the business to reflect my desire to be completely different from others and to encourage the celebration of life.

Unless you have an African grey parrot or tortoise, there is a very good chance you will outlive your pet!and I believe that in knowing and more importantly, accepting this, we can prepare, mourn and celebrate their life, providing them with the very best care throughout ❤️

It’s my mission to ensure that every pet owner is aware they have a choice and that pet loss doesn’t have to be horrendous, it can be painfully perfect too ❤️

If you or anyone you know could benefit from either the services I offer, or would like to speak with Sarah to be fully supported throughout their loss, please get in touch ❤️
