🐾 COOPERATIVE CARE WORKSHOP🐾

Helping your dog get more comfortable with handling. This includes around vet equipment, surfaces and grooming. You will also learn some training to help make vet consults easier.

Training covered:

🐶Handling – ears, eyes, mouth, paws, tail, tummy, skin
🐶Chin Rest
🐶Desensitisation to nail trimmer, stethoscope, eye light
🐶Muzzle Training (will need to provide your own muzzle if you would like to work on this)
🐶Prolonged Touch
🐶Boundaries
🐶Prolonged Stand

Good things coming for the programme ☺️

We spent Saturday thinking of ways to revamp the Youth Trainer Programme, as well as looking at plans for year 4 🙀. Lots of brainstorming and pulling ideas together and we are super happy with the outcome!

A game we love to play on the programme is Connect 4 where the kids have to answer dog-related questions in order to put a counter in. They play in teams so it is great for teamwork, testing their knowledge and to have a bit of fun at the end of a session 🐾

Please can you help???

We are in need of extra ! We have four therapy rooms and a waiting room that each need a decent amount of Lego bricks and accessories for the children and young people to create with.
