Did you know today is Dogs in Yellow Day?

My Anxious Dog created a movement to raise awareness for dogs that may be more anxious and need more space.

It is important to understand that a dog wearing yellow could mean they are:

💛 nervous or anxious
💛 reactive to people or dogs
💛in training
💛uncomfortable with close interactions
💛recovering from an injury

Whatever the reason, it is super important the public, and other dog owners respect a dogs space to help them feel comfortable.

We would like to thank everyone who is kind to our yellow wearing dogs and their owners, and here at Barking Buds we want to continue to advocate for dogs who need more space 💛💛

The first £5,000 draw of 2025 is here!

To support the incredible work that so many charities do to support Animals and Wildlife, the Benefact Group first special draw of the year will award £5,000 to 10 charities working in this area.

We are super excited to be teaming up with Rocky's Rescue to offer an Online Rescue Dog Support Membership.

We all know getting a new dog can be difficult, even more so when you do not know that background!

This membership allows rescue dog owners to have monthly support zoom as well as an online portal with lots of training videos which will help them to set themselves and their new furry friend up for life.

Barking Buds started in 2020 when our founder Beth graduated from Hartpury University. But little did she know the path towards Barking Buds was set well before that.

In 2016 Beth got her dog Luna and Spaniel X Beagle. She was a nightmare puppy and an even worse teenager, to the point where Beth almost rehomed her. Instead of doing that Beth started to research why Luna was behaving the way she was and this relit her love for dog training and behaviour.

After a short career in dancing due to an illness, this is when Beth went to University and got her HE Diploma in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. She graduated in 2020 during covid. This was the perfect opportunity to increase her knowledge so she took two courses with IMDT and other organisations whilst practicing with Luna. As soon as restrictions were lifted she offered some free training sessions to build her confidence and has never looked back.

We now have a thriving community of dog lovers, a team of 4 and multiple classes a week.

I guess we can say it was all down to Luna!
