🎆🐾 Bonfire Night Safety Tips for Pets 🐶🐱 As fireworks light up the skies this November 5th, let’s make sure our furry friends stay calm and safe.

💥 Loud bangs and flashing lights can be terrifying for pets. Here’s how to help them through the night:

🛋️ Create a Safe Space Set up a quiet, cozy area with familiar blankets and toys. Keep windows closed and curtains drawn to muffle sound and block flashes.

🎶 Soothing Sounds Play calming music or white noise to help drown out the fireworks.

🚶‍♂️ Walk Early Take dogs out before dusk to avoid the noise and stress later on.

🆔 Check Their Microchip & Collar In case they bolt, make sure your pet’s ID info is up to date.

🚫 Never Take Pets to Firework Displays Even the bravest pets can panic in crowds and loud environments.

💊 Extra Support If your pet struggles with anxiety, speak to your vet about calming options well in advance.

Let’s make Bonfire Night sparkle for the right reasons—without the stress. 💙

🎃👻 Spooky Season Is Here – But Pet Safety Is No Trick! 🐾🦇

As the pumpkins glow and costumes come out, don’t forget your furry friends need a little extra care this Halloween!

🧡 Here are some fright-free tips:

🍫 No sweets for pets! Chocolate and xylitol are toxic to dogs and cats.

🕯️ Keep decorations pet-safe – curious paws and wagging tails + candles = disaster.

👗 Costumes? Make sure they’re comfy, breathable, and don’t restrict movement.

🚪 Doorbell overload? Create a quiet space for pets to relax away from the spooky chaos.

And if your pet does get into mischief, we’re just a call away. Let’s keep Halloween fun for everyone—two-legged and four-legged alike! 🐶🐱

🐾💬 Pet Confessions: Arvonia Edition 😹🐶

We asked our patients to spill their secrets. Here’s what they might have said…

It’s strategic.” – Willow, Ragdoll 🍽️ “I pretended I hadn’t been fed. Twice. It worked.” – Milo, Labrador 🧼 “I rolled in something glorious. They called it ‘disgusting.’” – Poppy, Terrier 🩺 “I cried at the vet. Got cuddles AND treats. 10/10 would recommend.” – Luna, Cockapoo

At Arvonia, we’ve heard it all—and we still love them unconditionally 💙 Got a pet confession to share? Drop it in the comments… we promise not to tell 🐾

🍂🐾 Senior Pet Awareness: Because Golden Years Deserve Golden Care 🐶🐱

As the seasons change, so do the needs of our older companions. Just like us, pets feel the chill in their joints and may slow down a little—but with the right care, their later years can be full of comfort, joy, and tail wags.

🧡 Signs your senior pet might need extra support:

🐾 Stiffness or limping, especially in the morning or after walks

💤 Sleeping more or seeming less playful

🍽️ Changes in appetite or weight

🧠 Confusion or anxiety, especially at night

🦷 Dental issues or bad breath

💡 What you can do:

🩺 Book regular vet check-ups to catch age-related issues early

🍖 Adjust diet to support joint health and digestion

🛏️ Provide soft bedding and warm resting spots

🐕 Keep them active with gentle walks and mental stimulation

💬 Ask us about supplements, pain relief, and senior wellness plans

Let’s celebrate the wisdom and love our older pets bring—and make sure they’re as comfortable as they are cherished 💛

📅 Book a senior pet check-up today and let’s keep those golden years glowing!

🍁🐾 Autumn Hazards: What Pet Owners Should Know This Season 🐶🐱

As the leaves fall and the air turns crisp, autumn brings cozy vibes—and a few hidden dangers for our furry friends. Here’s what to watch out for:

🌰 Conkers & Acorns These seasonal treasures may look fun to chew, but they can cause choking or toxic reactions if swallowed.

🍄 Mushrooms & Fungi Wild mushrooms pop up everywhere this time of year. Some are harmless, but others can be highly toxic—best to steer clear!

🧊 Antifreeze Alert Even a small lick of spilled antifreeze can be fatal. Keep bottles sealed and clean up spills immediately.

🍫 Halloween Treats Chocolate, raisins, and sweets with xylitol are dangerous for pets. Keep the goodies out of reach!

🍂 Joint Pain in Cooler Weather Older pets may feel the chill in their bones. If your dog or cat seems stiff or slow, a vet check could help ease their discomfort.

🕯️ Candles & Decorations Autumn décor is lovely—but curious paws and wagging tails can knock over candles or get tangled in wires.

Let’s keep autumn safe and snuggly for everyone. If you’re ever unsure, give us a ring—we’re here to help! 🍂💛

🐾✨ If Pets Had Job Titles… 🐶🐱 We asked around the clinic, and here’s what we think your pets would be hired for:

🦴 Labrador – Chief Snack Inspector 🐕 Border Collie – Zoomie Coordinator 🐈 Siamese Cat – Midnight Opera Soloist 🐇 Rabbit – Garden Security Analyst 🐢 Tortoise – Slow Motion Life Coach 🐦 Cockatiel – Volume Control Tester (Level: Expert)

Let’s be honest—our pets are the real bosses of the house. Share your pet’s “job title” in the comments! We’d love to see what roles they’ve taken on 🧡
