Did you know the hydrotherapy is great for conservative management of cruciate ligament tears 🤔 Harley here comes for hydrotherapy to help strengthen the stifle joint and surrounding areas following a cruciate ligament tear. Due to his age, and other contributing factors, it was decided that surgery wasn’t necessary and conservative management with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy was a great idea! He’s showing great improvement already!! Keep up the good work Harley🐶

Archie brought his new sister Milly along to his hydrotherapy to show her how great it is 💦 she was a little nervous to look round but after a few more visits, I’m sure they’ll both enjoy a little fun swim together 💦🥰🐶🐾

Sophie showing off her flexibility skills 🙃😂 Sophie is a young girly who has hip dysplasia. She’s coming in for hydrotherapy to help strengthen her hindlimbs as she’s growing 💪 Sophie was nervous to start her hydrotherapy journey but with plenty of cuddles and reassurance, and maybe some gravy bones, she’s doing brilliantly 🥰

Laser therapy is now available in our centre🚨 this amazing electrotherapy has many benefits, including (but not limited to):
•Pain relief💊
•Anti-inflammatory
•Wound healing (post-surgery)
•Improving synovial fluid
•Improved joint function and range of motion 🦴

With the above benefits, it’s great for many conditions, including:
•Arthritis
•Elbow dysplasia
•Hip dysplasia
•Spinal conditions (e.g.IVDD, CDRM)
•Post-surgical recovery (e.g. wound healing, increased recovery rate)

Laser light (photons) pe*****te through the skin and are absorbed by the surrounding tissues and cells. 🧬The mitochondria in the cells use this energy to increase cell metabolism, respiration, energy, reduce inflammation, increase blood flow and reduce pain💊

The best results for laser are seen with an initial high loading dose of either:
3 sessions in the first week, then 2 the next week and then 1 session the next week and then kept at a maintenance frequency.
OR
Twice a week for 3 weeks and then kept at a maintenance frequency.

Laser works really well alongside Hydrotherapy as it can be performed prior to their session to help them feeling great and then to perform at their best during their hydrotherapy session💦 They don’t feel anything other than a little warmth from the laser during the session😍

Sid comes in for regular Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy to maintain strength and comfort levels to manage his Hip Dysplasia🦴

Sid’s Hydrotherapy consists of walking in our underwater treadmill with advanced techniques to encourage flexion and extension of the knees and hips when walking🐾 Sid started in the hydrotherapy pool however would not use his hindlimbs, even with encouragement and stimulation. We decided to try the treadmill which involves him walking and using his hindlimbs which is required to aid strengthening around the hips.

Sid’s Physiotherapy consists of Laser Therapy and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT) which are great for managing comfort levels and increasing blood flow to the area. Sid also has massage therapy to help relax any tight muscles. The session is then finished with his therapeutic exercises to ensure he is completing them correctly to further help strengthening💪

As the year comes to an end, we cannot believe we have been open for 2 years already!😱 I am truly overwhelmed that we have had the privilege to be able to work with so many of you and your amazing dogs.
We have met so many lovely new clients this year as well as lots of continuing clients, we are grateful that we are able to support and help so many🐾 Our role also sadly includes saying sad goodbyes to those who have crossed+ the rainbow bridge. All will be truly missed. 💔
2024 was exceptionally busy and saw us hold our open day, welcome our lovely newbie Gayle to join the team, topical workshops, wreath making, fun swims, rehabilitation cases, maintenance cases, sporting dog support, Crufts and so much more!

We are super excited to see what 2025 has in store for us and can’t wait to help new dogs and continuing supporting our current amazing clients🐾🥰
