Next up we have the wonderful Orla!

🥰 16h, 6 yo Irish mare, this lovely lady has been an absolute pleasure to have on the yard here for almost two years!

In the time she has been here she has completely grown into herself, we have all enjoyed seeing her grow and progress and I have loved getting her out and about.

Orla has the most fabulous temperament, she’s incredibly kind, sweet and gentle and is very easy to have on the yard.

A forward thinking mare, she loves to get on with her work and so does need a rider who is confident, sympathetic and is not going to swing off the front end of her!

Orla and I have done lots of dressage, she has 32 BD points with wins and regular placing, qualifying for Summer and Winter Petplans Champs and being placed. She would be incredibly competitive at Prelim Bronze level and has been training at Novice level and working on more lateral work at home. She is a joy to take out in the lorry, travels well and ties up patiently.

Orla loves to jump a fence whether it is XC or coloured poles. Forward, keen and not spooky, she has the scope to go on and do BS, BN and Discovery, as she progresses through her training she will easily do BE/Cotswold Cup 90 and 100 with the right rider and is a certainty for all Riding Club teams and Championships. Placed in Combined Training, only missed out on the win at her very first One Day Event (25 dr DC) with a few time penalties due to me going steady on the XC to give her a good outing.

Orla is fab out hacking, loves to lead the way, is good in traffic and likes to crack on, she is not at all mareish, always happy in her work, if she has time off she is safe to get straight on and hack out, she stands like a rock at the mounting block, doesn’t mind being on the yard on her own. She’s always the first one to come cantering over to be caught, goes out in the field with mares and geldings, leads in in a group and always does everything with a smile on her face.

The right rider for this beautiful lady would be someone who knows how to ride from their leg to a soft hand in a sympathetic way, I hack her everywhere on a loose rein because I trust her completely but she would get hot to ride if someone grabbed hold of her.

⭕️ STAND BY FOLKS! ⭕️

The first of a complete flurry of loveliness is Dexter!

Full Connemara (by a Glencarrig Knight stallion out of a Tulira Roebuck mare), Dexter is a 15h, 6yo (he is a late 2019 foal) absolute unit of a chap.

Fabulous fun, super smart and ready to go out and do all RC/BD/Grassroots/Cotswold Cup.

Dexter has been slowly produced, not over jumped or rushed through his education but very sadly he has grown too big and powerful for the small humans that his owner hoped would grow into him!

Sold by KFH as an unbroken 3 yo, Dexter came back as a 4 yo to be backed and ridden away then spent his time being loved and handled by kids while his owner took him to clinics, camps etc and did plenty of hacking and riding and leading while he was growing.

He then returned early in his 5 year old year to do a bit more and have his first jumps etc, had a bit more growing and fun time and then has been here with us on full livery since the beginning of September.

Since being with us he has stepped up his schooling and has had regular dressage training with the fabulous Marie Kent showing that he has a super trainable brain and all the fancy footwork to be very competitive BD/Petplans with the right rider.

He has done plenty of XC schooling and show jump/arena eventing outings, always loading, travelling, looking super and really enjoying himself.

Dexter hacks out alone and in company, lives in or out in a group, has a friendly temperament, is very easy to clip and is ready for an experienced, confident rider to get going with and enjoy.

Dexter is a proper leg at each corner chap, takes up the leg well (riders in the pics/vids vary from 5’5 to 6’1)
he has 3 rhythmical paces with the canter being particularly balanced and incredibly comfy, he carries himself in a natural frame and rides like a horse not an overgrown pony and to this end he would feel like he has too much oomph under the bonnet for anybody novicey or lacking in confidence and he would feel like too much horse for a small teenager.

He has very much been a part of the yard here and the absolute right home is imperative, someone will have a ton of fun and success with this super chap!

A brief run down on the dude that is Dexter!

15h, 5 year old (2019) Connemara gelding by Ashbrook Spirit (Glencarrig Knight) out of a Tulira Roebuck mare, Dexter is a proper leg at each corner chap.

Sold by KFH as an unbroken 3 year old to a great repeat client/friend he spent a lot of time being loved and very well handled by small humans before coming back to the fold to be backed for them as a 4 year old. He then enjoyed plenty of hacking with his owners, being ridden and led and generally seeing the world until the beginning of his 5 year old year when we welcomed him back to start doing some schooling and jumping.

After getting out and about doing clinics, rallies etc, sadly for his owners (but good for you guys) he grew into a big chap who his small friends won’t grow into for at least 3 or 4 years and so after much soul searching it has been decided that he will be looking for his next partner.

In the next few weeks Dexter will be getting out to some dressage and doing a bit of arena eventing, he has been brought on slowly with his future in mind, never been over jumped and will definitely make a top class PC/RC/Grassroots contender with the paces and trainability to affiliate in all spheres with ongoing training and the right partner.

I’m going to enjoy taking him out in the coming couple of weeks so keep an eye out for updates, if you wish to register an interest PLEASE WHATSAPP/CALL ON 07888675300, if you send a pm it may get lost in the ether and you may not get a reply if I can’t locate it but you will get a reply if you WhatsApp me and tell me what you are looking for.

Dexter is a powerful chap, the riders on him in the pics are between 5’6 and 6’1 and he is not for anyone who is a novice or a nervous nelly.

After a very successful first TCC clinic, the second one this coming Sunday 17th is now full!

Upcoming dates are Sunday 1st and Sunday 15th of December- the one on the 15th will have some particularly fun and exciting Christmas themed obstacles!

This week the very bestest ginger had an outing that he enjoyed very much!

A super warm up round in the 1.05m and then he pinged round his very first 1.15/1.20m in the usual fabulous tiggery Tiger style.

An absolute pleasure to take out, extremely capably piloted by Morgan Kent, all three of us came home smiling

Fabulous first KFH TCC clinic today!
