Ponderosa is an independent family run Pet Shop near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. A great range of foods and products for most household pets plus lots for the Wild Birds too. A fantastic range of seeds ,nuts and feeders etc for feeding the WILD BIRDS is also worth giving us a visit for. Unlike many places nowadays we bag up seeds and nuts from loose so its FRESHER and CHEAPER. Advice is always

readily available from our long serving and very knowledgable staff. Ponderosa is open 7 days a week and is based at a garden centre so you can get your plants at the same time as your pet stuff! We pride ouselves on our friendly personal service and believe that this is invaluable and is why our customers come back to us again and again.

Back in stock 🙂 Rock sulphur...
Rock sulphur is great for warm weather, just add a small piece the size of a Brazil nut in the drinking water and replace every 2-3 days. The natural minerals disperse into the water and helps to keep your pet's cool 🙂

Our Story

Ponderosa is an independently owned Pet Shop near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. We pride ourselves on our friendly personal service, and recognise that many people really appreciate the kind of individual shopping experience that an independent shop can offer. We have a great range of food and accessories for most household pets plus lots for the wild birds too. We also specialise in Pet and Aviary birds and our staff have extensive knowledge and experience in this area. Rather uniquely nowadays we bag up lots of seeds, feeds and nuts from loose so its FRESHER and CHEAPER and you can even bring your own reusable containers to fill. Visit our Small Bird and Animal Room. We also have chickens in store for sale from Spring to Autumn. Staff are always on hand to ask questions or give advice either over the phone (01452 713229) or in store. We buy our birds and small animals from private local breeders, many of which we have known for years. We also quite often have Hand reared birds for sale. Ponderosa Pet Shop is open 7 days a week and is based at a garden centre so you can get your plants at the same time as your pet stuff and maybe have a cup of tea too!
